Integration of Netlify and Webhooks By Connect

With the integration of Netlify and Webhooks By Connect, you can now easily integrate your site in Netlify. First, you need to create a new site in Netlify. After creating your site, go to the settings tab then click on “Webhooks”. On the next page, click on the “Add New” button. (Figure 1. After clicking on the “Add New” button, you will be directed to a form where you must fill in some details. In the form, you will have to specify your server URL (eg “https://www.mywebsite.com”), your API key, your secret key, and request body format (JSON. And lastly, you will have to choose the event on which you want to trigger the webhook. (Figure 2. After filling up all the required details, click on the “Save” button then your new webhook will be created. (Figure 3. Now after creating your webhook, you need to configure it on your site. To do this, go to your site dashboard then click on the “Settings” tab then scrpl down until you see the section “Webhooks by connect” (Figure 4. In the “Webhooks by connect” section, you will have to provide the ID provided by Netlify then fill up the required details such as event type, data type, payload data and whether or not you want to allow duplicate requests. (Figure 5. And lastly, click on the “Save” button then your site will be successfully configured. (Figure 6. Now if you go to your site’s dashboard then under “Events” section, you will see a new event named “Notification”. This event will contain information about your request including the event name, server URL, message type (log), body, and request ID. In this case my request is “Deployment Started” so I can check my deployed site as well as look at its source code. (Figure 7. And lastly, if you go to your site then you will see that it has been deployed on Netlify. (Figure 8)
