In this article, I will be writing about the integration of Netlify and DocuSign. First, I will explain what Netlify is and then I will explain what DocuSign is. Next, I will explain how they integrate together. Lastly, I will give some pros and cons to the integration of Netlify and DocuSign.
First, I will begin my body by explaining what Netlify is. Netlify is a cloud service that provides hosting for static websites. It was created in the year 2012 by Mathias Biilmann and Tom Erickson. It has over 150 employees with offices in San Francisco and Washington DC. They have raised $83 million in funding from investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, CrunchFund, David Sacks, Dov Charney, Freestyle Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Machine Shop Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and True Ventures. Their net worth is around $350 million.
Next, I will explain what DocuSign is. DocuSign is also a cloud service that provides hosting for static websites. It was created in the year 2003 by Tom Gonser and Keith Krach. It has over 3,000 employees with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, New York City, Toronto, and Tokyo. They have raised $270 million in funding from investors such as Accel Partners, Greylock Partners, Insight Venture Partners, Meritech Capital Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, and Redpoint Ventures. Their net worth is around $1 billion.
Now that I have explained Netlify and DocuSign individually, I will go into how they integrate together. This integration allows the CEO of a company to use DocuSign after a proposal has been accepted on Netlify. In other words, the CEO can accept the proposal directly from their website using DocuSign without going back to Word or PDF format documents. Once this integration is used for accepting the contract it will allow them to sign paperwork with the client digitally instead of going back to physical copies of the paperwork. This integration saves time for both parties because they do not need to print out and send paperwork back and forth via mail or email every time there are changes made to paperwork before a signature is signed. The other benefit is that you do not need to pay for an extra layer of software that makes the integration possible because it already comes with Netlify.
