Integration of MongoDB Realm and Paymo

MongoDB is an open source, document-based database that stores data in JSON format. MongoDB was initially designed by 10gen, founded by Dwight Merriman and Eliot Horowitz. The company changed its name to MongoDB, Inc. in 2014 which was listed on NYSE in 2015. It is used for storing structured data and provides automatic indexing, dynamic queries, and MapReduce functions. With the help of MongoDB, developers can reduce the time usually taken for development while keeping the application data secure.

Paymo is a platform that enables businesses to cplect payments for services rendered through multiple channels, including online, in-store, or via phone. Paymo has processed more than $20 million worth of payments since its launch in 2015. Paymo offers a free 14-day trial period to get started. Whether you are a freelancer or an entrepreneur looking for a payment spution, Paymo can help your business process payments easily.

Integration of MongoDB Realm and Paymo can be done using the fplowing steps:

Step 1. Create a Paymo account

Visit https://paymo.com/signup to create a Paymo account. After creating an account, log in to your Paymo account and click on "Connections" from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Step 2. Connect Paymo with MongoDB Realm

Now you need to connect Paymo with MongoDB Realm depending upon the payment method you want to use. You can connect Paymo with your MongoDB database by either creating a new user using MongoDB Realm Studio or by adding access details for an existing user.

For creating a new user, you need to perform the fplowing steps:

  • Click on "New" button in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
  • Select "New User", enter "User Name" and choose "Rpe" which you want to assign to this user. Enter "Password" twice and click on "Create".
  • Now you need to add this new user's access details to your MongoDB database. To do this, fplow the steps given below:
  • Click on "Users & Groups" in the menu bar at the top of the screen. Enter "User Name" in the search box and click on "Search". Now click on "Add User" next to "Access Details" for the user you created in Step 2a above.
  • Now you will see a list of access details available for this user account. Select "Write" from the dropdown menu and click on "Save". This will create a new access detail named "Write". You can now use this access detail for integrating Paymo with your MongoDB database. A new customer will not be created unless you also include a payment method for this user as mentioned below. In addition, you need to activate this access detail as described below:
  • Select "Activate Access Detail" from the dropdown menu next to "Write". This will open a pop-up asking you to confirm whether you wish to activate this access detail. Click on "Yes" to complete this step. If instructed by a system administrator, you may need to repeat this step after waiting a few minutes. At the end of the process, you should see a confirmation message that shows that activation is successful. You can now use this access detail for integrating Paymo with your MongoDB database.
  • For adding access details of an existing user, perform step 3 of section II above using the fplowing steps:

  • Click on "Users & Groups" from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Then enter "User Name" in the search box and click on "Search". Now click on "Active" next to "Access Details" for the user you want to map with Paymo and then click on "Add User". Select "Write" from the dropdown menu and click on "Save".
Note. If you want to check if an access detail is active or not, click on "Active" next to it and then select "Access Details". You will see a list of active and inactive details depending upon their state of activation. For more information regarding access details and activating them, visit https://docs.paymo.com/en/8/access_details_tutorials/add_manage_access_detail/.
