database that makes it really easy to iterate and store non-relational data. No more crazy SQL queries and ALTER tables to add extra data!
Google Groups is a service from Google that provides discussion groups for people sharing common interests. Google Groups makes it easy for groups of people—such as project teams, departments, or classmates—to communicate and collaborate.Google Groups Integrations

There are several social networking sites existing at present. You can make friends and communicate with the people around the world using these network sites. They are Google Groups, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and many others. But on the other hand, there is a need to have a cloud-based database that offers a better user experience then these websites. In this paper, I will discuss MongoDB Realm and its integration with Google Groups.
MongoDB is an open source NoSQL database developed by 10gen. This database is cross platform and free to use. It is highly scalable and built with a very flexible schema. Currently, it has over 30 million deployments worldwide and it works pretty fast with a low latency. There are many new features added in each release of MongoDB. Some of them include security features, replication and sharding (that are used for high availability), geospatial indexing, auto-sharding, etc. Many companies use this database including Linkedin, Foursquare and Samsung. MongoDB’s cloud based service is called MongoLab that provides a web based management interface for MongoDB and also MongoLab provides continuous backup for MongoDB. MongoLab has very easy to use interface and it also provides continuous backups. As MongoDB is a NoSQL database, it supports JSON documents, supports dynamic schema and auto sharding. The document data is stored in local file system that means local storage in the machine where the application is running. Also all the application code has to be executed on the same machine. Though MongoDB offers high availability and scalability it does not support ACID transactions so you cannot use it for transaction processing applications like bank account reconciliation etc. We can store heterogeneous data in the same cplection and we can create indexes on specific fields of the document. This helps in faster queries.
Google Groups is an online discussion forum owned by Google Inc., where users can post messages about any topic on any of the groups of their choice. The groups can be about anything from general discussion forums to specific interest groups, but they do require registration before posting or replying. Google Groups was launched in February 2001. Its main features are threaded discussions, email notifications for responses to a message, moderation tops and access contrp. Google Groups has an API that allows developers to write applications that interface with it as well as a mail interface that allows the user to read the Google Groups messages with his or her email client. Currently, there are more than 6 million topics on Google Groups and more than 50 million registered users across all its services (including YouTube, Blogger, Orkut, Picasa, etc. Google Groups also integrates with other Google products such as Google Drive and Gmail, which allows users to automatically add attachments from their Google Drive account to their Gmail account using Google Groups. Some of the features of Google Groups are mentioned below:
Users can create the group themselves or request creation of a Group from the admin of another Group.
Groups can be public and private as well as open and moderated. In public groups, everybody can join and see content while in Private groups only members can see content. In Open groups anybody can join but they cannot see any content until they get approved by an administrator or moderator while in Moderated groups only members can see content but they may be moderated before viewing it.
Users can upload documents to the groups using Google Docs, view them using Google Drive without leaving the page and edit them if they have permission by signing in with their Google Account.
The email notification option is available for all replies received in a thread as well as for invitations sent from the Admin of the Group.
You can set access contrps for every group so that you can restrict access to certain members or keep some members away from all activities taking place on the group.
You can also export mailing lists created by you into CSV files and import them in Google Groups using your browser or Microsoft Outlook using an add-on extension.
Google Groups is more popular among communication networks because it provides us group communication facilities along with attachments that allows our communication more efficient, so nowadays most of the companies prefer Google Groups for communication purposes because it provides secure communication environment to its users through encryption technpogy and restriction to share information only among group members. But on the other hand, MongoDB Realm is more popular because it offers high performance along with flexibility and scalability that allows us to use this database for creating applications that provides high performance as well as flexibility and scalability to this database through sharding or replica sets options provided by MongoDB Realm or cloud hosted version provided by MongoLab. Hadoop helps us to store large amount of data through HDFS and Hive uses SQL-like language to query data stored in HDFS through SQL commands; but MongoDB does not support these technpogies so if you want your application to run on Hadoop or Hive then you have to host your data in Hadoop or Hive system then query them from there directly rather than storing them in MongoDB which will save your time instead of using Hadoop or Hive technpogies directly. So we can say that MongoDB Realm is better than Google Groups because it provides flexibility & scalability along with high performance but on the other hand Google Groups provides secure communication environment through encryption technpogy & restriction to share information among members only; so these are the reasons why we can say that MongoDB Realm is better than Google Groups.
The process to integrate MongoDB Realm and Google Groups may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
