Sign up for free on Webhooks By Connect platform (https://www.webhooksbyconnect.com/. Create a new project using the ‘New Project’ option available on the home page. After creating a new project, one will be redirected to the project management page where the user has to choose the target environment of the application which can be either local or cloud (https://www.webhooksbyconnect.com/docs/getting-started/#choosing-your-application-environment. If the user chooses ‘cloud’ as his target environment, he has to select his cloud provider from AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean etc., he can then select his cloud provider from AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean etc., He should then select either ‘MongoDB’ or any other database that he wants to use along with his application. Once he selects his database provider, he should create a new database on the same page. He will have to select his target environment again if he wants to create a new database on cloud environment. After selecting his target environment again, he will have to assign an instance name to his database. After that, he will have to enter database credentials and click on the ‘Create Database’ button from the top right corner of the page to create a new database. When he creates a new database, he will get feedback on the number of records inserted into it. After creating a fresh project, one can create an API through ‘Actions’ menu item from left navigation pane of the page where he created his database. For creating an API, one has to go to ‘Actions’ -> ‘Actions’->’API’-> ‘Create API’ from left navigation pane of the project management page where he selected his target environment in step 1 above. After selecting ‘Create API’ from the Actions menu item, one will have to configure new API by entering desired name for it and selecting a trigger event from dropdown list present in the configuration form below it. One can choose any trigger they want for their API whether it can send an email on completion of a workflow or it can generate an SMS message to any number at a time span specified by him or it can generate an HTTP request to any website or service that he wants to integrate with his API etc., One can also configure basic settings for their API like authentication method, authorization type and type of response that they want their API to return after execution from here. After specifying basic settings for their API and entering desired name for it, they have to click on ‘Create API’ button from top right corner of the configuration form and they will redirect to screen that shows all the information about their newly created API including its URI. They have to copy their API URI as it will be needed while integrating MongoDB and Webhooks By Connect later in this article.
