Miro is a free open-source and cross-platform media player with support for many audio and video formats. The interface is developed primarily in Python using GTK+ 2.0, and it is released under the GNU General Public License. The development of Miro has been led by Andrew Sampson, who was inspired to create the program after becoming frustrated with the lack of support for podcasts on other media players.
