Integration of Miro and Dropbox

Miro?

Miro is a free and open source (FOSS. cross-platform application that allows you to view an enormous variety of video file formats. With Miro, you can watch videos from your computer, the Internet and even from your own camera. Miro is licensed under the terms of the GNU GPLv2 license.

Dropbox?

Dropbox is a free service that allows users to store files online in a cloud which they can easily access through any internet enabled device. Dropbox also allows users to share files with other Dropbox users. The service is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux operating systems.

Integration of Dropbox and Miro would allow users to transfer video content from their computer to their Dropbox account, for storage and viewing on any device that can access their Dropbox account. This would eliminate the need to move files between devices or email videos to oneself, as these could be directly uploaded from one device to one's Dropbox account. Sites such as Hulu, which rely on proprietary video formats, would be more accessible using Miro. For example, Hulu uses Adobe Flash Video (.flv. format for streaming videos on its site. Currently, this format cannot be played by Miro, unless it is downloaded and converted into another format that can be played by Miro. As such, integration of Miro and Dropbox would allow users with Miro installed to convert files stored in their Dropbox account into formats that Miro can play, making it easier for them to view videos on sites such as Hulu. Integration with Miro would also allow users to perform other tasks with their files while watching videos, such as sending emails or checking their social networks. Another benefit of integrating Miro and Dropbox would be increased accessibility for people with disabilities. Currently, using Miro without integration with other devices requires an individual to use a mouse or some other pointing device to contrp the software. However, people with disabilities who cannot use pointing devices would not be able to use this software without integration with other devices. Therefore, integration with Miro would make this software much more accessible to disabled individuals because they would not have to rely on a mouse or a keyboard in order to use the software. Integration with other devices would also allow the user to contrp Miro with voice commands. A user can already contrp Miro with voice commands if she has a screen reader program installed on her device. However, this is currently only possible if the screen reader program is integrated directly with Miro. As such, integration with other devices would make it possible for users to contrp Miro on any device by using voice commands.

The process to integrate Miro and Dropbox may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
