Integration of MINDBODY and Office 365

MINDBODY is a software service developed by MINDBODY Inc. The company is based out of Denver, Cporado. MINDBODY offers a subscription model that allows users to use MINDBODY for a set price per month. The software is used to manage clients, staff, and appointments. It was founded in 2004 by CEO Joe Gebbia and CTO Nathan Richardson.MINDBODY and Office 365 are both cloud based services. Cloud computing is the storage and use of applications and data on remote servers. This means that the software does not need to be installed on the user's hard drive, but rather can be accessed via the internet. This makes accessing the software easily, and reduces wear and tear on the user's computer. It also means that there are fewer IT issues as it can be accessed by multiple users at once with the same login information.

Integration of MINDBODY and Office 365

This integration allows for the two products to work seamlessly together in order to provide a seamless experience for users. To integrate the two services, there are three components that must be linked together.

  • Outlook Calendar. To integrate Outlook calendar with MINDBODY, a user must create an "Outlook Connector" in MINDBODY. This will then allow the user to connect their Outlook Calendar to MINDBODY so they can view all of their appointments from the calendar within MINDBODY.
  • Contacts. To integrate contacts with MINDBODY, a user must first create a contact list in Outlook. Then the user will have access to this list from within MINDBODY as well.
  • Tasks. Tasks can be integrated between MINDBODY and Office 365 via Outlook Tasks. A user will need to enable the task integration in Outlook first before being able to sync tasks from Outlook to MINDBODY. Once enabled, tasks can be added to either Outlook or MINDBODY, and will appear on both systems.
