Microsoft Outlook is an e-mail client and personal information manager application. It is a part of the Microsoft Office suite of productivity software for Windows and Mac OS X.
Basin is a program used to send and receive e-mail using Microsoft Outlook. It is a desktop program that works on Windows systems. It has support for POP3 and IMAP mailboxes and includes a calendar, contact list, and task list.
Basin is able to integrate with Microsoft Outlook in a number of ways. The first way it can do this is by saving emails to Microsoft Outlook. This can be done by checking the “Save” option when an email is sent from within the Basin program. The second way it can integrate with Microsoft Outlook is by syncing the email account settings with Microsoft Outlook by using the “Update” option. This will sync your email account settings such as signature, reply-to, etc. These two options can also be used to update or sync the other information that Basin saves such as the contacts list, calendar, and task list. The third way it can integrate with Microsoft Outlook is by allowing you to set your default editor for emails to be Microsoft Office Word instead of Notepad. This can be done by pulling up an email in the Basin program, going into the “Mail Options” tab and then clicking “Set Default Editor”. You can now save the email to Word format by clicking “Save As” under the “File” menu. You can also choose to use a different default editor such as MSN or WordPad if you wish.A fourth way it can integrate with Microsoft Outlook is by automatically adding incoming mail from certain accounts to your Microsoft Outlook contacts list, calendar, task list, and journal. You can also add an outgoing mail address so that any replies to emails are sent from your Microsoft Outlook address. You can do this by clicking the “Mail Options” tab when you have an email opened in Basin and then clicking “Configure” under the “Accounts” section. You will now see a few fields that you can fill out such as the server name for your mail account and whether you want email replies to go through your Microsoft Outlook address.
One of the major benefits of integration with Microsoft Outlook is that you are able to do everything in one place rather than having to go back and forth between programs for different tasks; you can do everything in one program such as Basin. This saves time because you don’t need to jump back and forth between different programs to complete your tasks. Another benefit is that it prevents you from accidentally deleting an important email from your inbox and not being able to find it again if you deleted it from the trash fpder. If you have previously deleted an email from the trash fpder in Microsoft Outlook, you can still recover it by clicking on the “Recent Deleted Items” fpder under the “Deleted Items” fpder in Microsoft Outlook. However, if you deleted an important email from your trash fpder in Microsoft Outlook, you can still recover it if you previously saved it to the Basin program by clicking “Contacts” under the “File” menu and then clicking “Restore from Backup File”. You will now be able to search for an email in Basin and select it from the list. This way you don’t have to worry about deleting something important by accident if both programs are integrated together. Another benefit is that you will never lose an important email again that you wanted for some reason and were too late to save it to your computer before deleting it from your trash fpder in Microsoft Outlook.
