MailChimp is a web-based email marketing application that allows users to create, send and manage email campaigns. As of June 2015, MailChimp had more than 7 million registered users and over 560,000 customers in 150 countries.MailChimp was founded by Ben Chestnut and Dan Kurzius in 2001 when the two were working as designers at a web development firm in Atlanta. Chestnut and Kurzius came up with the idea after making a website for one of their clients who wanted an email newsletter program for her business.
