These sources are available at the instance level and include CPU utilization, disk I/O operations per second, network traffic, etc. They can then be grouped by dimensions such as cloudwatch namespace, EC2 instance ID, metric name, etc.Metrics can be cplected by CloudWatch itself or by third party applications and services such as CloudWatch Agent and AWS Agent which can cplect metrics from instances running Linux or Windows operating systems respectively.
