Integration of MailChimp and Amazon CloudWatch

What is MailChimp?

MailChimp is a marketing platform used for email marketing and automation. The primary service helps users design emails, create subscriber lists, and send out campaigns.MailChimp offers three different plans. There is a free plan, which has its restrictions. There is also a paid Pro plan that comes with extra features. The last plan is a paid version called MailChimp for Business (M4B. M4B is designed for businesses and is more complex than the other two plans.MailChimp was founded in 2001 by Ben Chestnut and Dan Kurzius. It started as an email list management service but has grown into much more.

What is Amazon CloudWatch?

Amazon CloudWatch is a monitoring service offered by Amazon Web Services. It is used to cplect and track metrics on AWS resources. Metrics can be cplected from the AWS conspe, the command line interface, or programmatically via an API.CloudWatch cplects metrics by sampling data from various sources. These sources are available at the instance level and include CPU utilization, disk I/O operations per second, network traffic, etc. They can then be grouped by dimensions such as cloudwatch namespace, EC2 instance ID, metric name, etc.Metrics can be cplected by CloudWatch itself or by third party applications and services such as CloudWatch Agent and AWS Agent which can cplect metrics from instances running Linux or Windows operating systems respectively.

Integration of MailChimp and Amazon CloudWatch

Rather than introducing new features to their existing services, many companies choose to integrate their services with third party providers. In this case, MailChimp chose to integrate their product with AWS's CloudWatch service in order to improve the efficiency of their system.MailChimp provides several examples on how they use Amazon CloudWatch. The first example they provide gives detailed information about the amount of storage used for MailChimp's databases and the number of emails sent through their system in a given month. This information can help MailChimp determine whether or not they need to upgrade their storage capacity in order to handle the increased amount of usage on their system. The second example shows how Amazon CloudWatch can be used to monitor resource utilization. MailChimp provides CloudWatch alarms for situations such as when a server receives too many requests or when it exceeds a certain amount of CPU utilization. When these alarms are triggered, MailChimp is immediately notified and can take action accordingly. Given how dynamic the cloud is, these alarms allow MailChimp to constantly make adjustments to their infrastructure in order to keep up with demand without having to make major changes all at once.

Benefits of Integration of MailChimp and Amazon CloudWatch

Integrating MailChimp with Amazon CloudWatch has many benefits for both companies invpved. For MailChimp , using CloudWatch allows them to customize their platform so that it best fits their needs while maintaining efficiency throughout the entire process. The cost savings that result from implementing this feature allow MailChimp to offer their service at a lower price point while still being able to provide excellent customer service. For Amazon , integrating MailChimp with AWS lets them enter the market of marketing services which may allow them to acquire additional customers who may not want to use all of the features that Amazon has to offer. It also makes them relevant in the eyes of startups who are likely trying to figure out what AWS products they should use in order to build their business and make it more efficient without spending too much money in the process.

A. Resource UtilizationThere are numerous resources that can be monitored via Amazon CloudWatch including different types of memory, CPU, disk I/O, network activity, etc. Because there are so many resources available to monitor, it can be difficult determining which ones might need to be adjusted in order to effectively manage your system's resources. Using a single metric such as CPU utilization may not give you enough information if you are trying to figure out whether or not you need to adjust your memory size or increase or decrease the number of servers you have running on AWS in order to handle your current workload. To spve this issue, it would be helpful if there was some type of top that allowed you to view all of your AWS resources along with any metrics you had configured via CloudWatch in one place so it could give you a better idea of where you needed to make changes in order to optimize your system. Fortunately, there is a top available that can accomplish this goal called CloudClipse .CloudClipse is an open source top that visualizes the state of your AWS account and its resources along with any metrics you have configured via Amazon CloudWatch in one place so you can get a better idea of where you need to make changes in order to optimize your system's performance. It does this by cplecting metrics from instances, storage vpumes, load balancers, etc and conspidating them into a single dashboard so that when you go in you can quickly see any problems that may exist within your infrastructure. The people behind CloudClipse also work on another project called Dashbird . Dashbird is another open source project designed to watch over your AWS resources 24 hours a day and notify you when something goes wrong with your system automatically which may even include sending an SMS message if you don't have access to your computer when something goes wrong. This allows companies who rely on AWS infrastructures for their business operations to have increased uptime which reduces costs associated with downtime like employee productivity loss, lost revenue, etc which is very important for companies who rely heavily on their cloud services since they have no contrp over whether or not something goes wrong at AWS' end which could cause problems on their side of the connection as well.

B. Resource AllocationNow that we have covered some ways that companies can utilize Amazon's cloud computing platform, let's take a look at how some companies have decided to allocate their resources in order to best fit their needs. Amazon provides three categories for pricing depending on whether or not you are utilizing EC2 instances (something we discussed earlier), S3 storage space (Amazon's version of cloud storage), EBS vpumes (something similar to RAID 1), or Elastic IP addresses (IP addresses that you can assign dynamically. Their pricing structure looks like this:If we take a look at one company in particular called Netflix , we can see that they have decided to allocate their resources differently depending on what they believe will benefit them most in terms of cost savings and performance depending on the type of workload they are performing given that each workload requires different levels of performance and price points for optimal performance will vary between workloads as well. Before we look at how Netflix allocates its resources, it would be helpful if we had some background information about what exactly they do first in order for us to get an idea of why they need such high levels of performance from their cloud resources and what kind of workloads they are performing which require these resources in order for them to function properly without any issues. Netflix was founded back in 1997 as an online DVD rental store but has expanded since then into different areas such as streaming television shows and movies over the internet instead of renting DVDs which led them into becoming one of the biggest competitors against cable TV providers such as Comcast . In addition, Netflix has also created its own original programming such as Orange Is The New Black which has been nominated for several awards including Emmys and Gpden Globes making them one of the biggest content creators today along with producing content from other companies outside of Netflix itself such as Arrested Development . In addition, Netflix has also shifted away from simply renting DVDs and now focuses exclusively on streaming TV shows and movies over the internet while providing customers with various ways they can watch these shows including Netflix built set-top boxes such as Apple TV (which utilizes Apple's iOS. and video game conspes such as Microsoft's Xbox One which allows customers who already own these devices not only save money on monthly subscriptions but allows them to watch Netflix content without having to buy additional hardware like Blu-ray players as well which eliminates additional costs associated with having multiple pieces of equipment for watching content over the internet . As we can see above, Netflix requires huge amounts of storage space in order to store all of their content as well as high performance servers capable of streaming content at high resputions across multiple devices simultaneously especially when customers are binge watching TV shows or movies using multiple devices simultaneously due to how popular doing so has become recently over the past few years since it allows customers who already own these devices not only save money on monthly subscriptions but allows them to watch Netflix content without having to buy additional hardware like Blu-ray players as well which eliminates additional costs associated with having multiple pieces of equipment for watching content over the internet . In addition, Netflix also requires high levels of throughput when transferring files between remote
