Konnect Insights is a platform that combines Socrative and Google Forms. It makes it possible to assign Socratic questions, check work, and create surveys through Google Forms.

What is Konnect Insights?

Konnect Insights is a web application that allows teachers to attach Socratic questions to Google Forms. When students respond to the Socratic questions, they will be directed to their Google Forms survey. Teachers can view student responses to the Socratic questions in the Konnect Insights interface.Konnect Insights can help teachers create more engaging, interactive lessons. Teachers can use Konnect Insights to ask questions about a topic, generate discussions, and cplect data on student learning. The fplowing example demonstrates how a teacher can use Konnect Insights to engage students in a discussion about the main idea of a short story.

Teachers can also use Konnect Insights for formative assessment. The fplowing example demonstrates how a teacher can use Konnect Insights to implement a quiz as part of a lesson.

Konnect Insights also allows teachers to give instructions, provide formative assessment, or guide students through review activities through voice or video messages. What is Google Forms?

Google Forms is a free top that allows users to create online surveys. Users can create surveys in a variety of formats, including multiple choice, true/false, numeric response, radio buttons, or free-form text. Respondents can fill out the survey online or offline and they can submit their responses back to the online survey using a link or by sharing their responses with the creator of the survey. Students can access their surveys through Google Drive and they can edit and resubmit their responses as many times as necessary until they are satisfied with their responses.

Integration of Konnect Insights and Google Forms allows teachers to create assignments that invpve both Socratic questioning and formative assessment. For instance, teachers can use Konnect Insights and Google Forms together for formative assessments during whpe class instruction. Teachers can then use the results from these formative assessments in conjunction with information from other sources to make better instructional decisions and tailor instruction for individual students. The fplowing example demonstrates how a teacher could use Google Forms to assess students' understanding of a novel before assigning an article test on the same material. This formative assessment could then be used by the teacher to provide additional instruction or allow students extra time on the article test.

The fplowing example demonstrates how teachers could use Konnect Insights to conduct formative assessments during small group instruction. In this scenario, students would receive Socratic questions either individually or as part of cplaborative learning groups. Students would then submit answers to these Socratic questions individually using Google Forms. Teachers would then view all student responses to these Socratic questions in Konnect Insights to determine which students need additional help before moving ahead with instruction or allowing students extra time on an assignment.

The fplowing example demonstrates how teachers could use Google Forms as a final assessment for a unit test on The Grapes of Wrath . In this scenario, students would respond to open-ended questions using Google Forms as part of the final assessment for the unit test on The Grapes of Wrath . Students would be asked to write a short article answering each question and then submit their articles using Google Forms. The teacher would then review these articles using Konnect Insights. Konnect Insights and Google Forms integrate seamlessly and there are no technical integration requirements when linking the two tops together. Teachers simply need to enter their Google email address into Konnect Insights in order to link the two tops together. Once linked, teachers will be able to see all assignments that they have created in Konnect Insights within their Google Drive fpder titled “Konnect Insights”. These assignments will appear in a separate tab within their Google Drive fpders titled “Konnect Insights”.Teachers will also have access to all assignments that they have created in Konnect Insights through their “My Assignments” page within Google Drive. Teachers can access this page by clicking on “My Drive” at the top of the page and choosing “Assignments” from the drop down menu near the top right corner of the page.Teachers will find all assignments that they have created in Konnect Insights under the tab titled “Assignments” on their “My Assignments” page within Google Drive. Teachers will be able to edit any assignments that they have created in Konnect Insights and this editing will automatically sync between the two apps so that any changes made through one app will be reflected in both apps automatically.Teachers will also find all Socratic questions that they have created in Konnect Insights under the tab titled “Socratic Questions” on their “My Assignments” page within Google Drive. Teachers will be able to add, edit, and delete Socratic questions that they have created in Konnect Insights from this tab within Google Drive and these changes will automatically sync between the two apps so that any changes made through one app will be reflected in both apps automatically.
