Integration of IMAP by Connect and Xzazu

This section will explain how IMAP by Connect and Xzazu can be integrated to create a modern and lightweight mail server spution. The first step is to install Xzazu on your VPS or dedicated server. To get started, simply fplow the installation guide located at http://wiki.xzazu.com/InstallationGuide. After Xzazu is installed, navigate to the /config fpder and open the xz_config.php file in your favorite text editor. The important variables that need to be configured are listed below. $serverName - This setting should be set to your domain name ($serverName = "yourdomain". Please note that this setting must match the domain name of your mail server or you'll run into problems later when you try to configure SMTP access from your mail client. If you haven't purchased a domain name yet, I highly recommend getting one because it will really help your business stand out from competitors. There are plenty of domain registrars available online so there's no excuse not to get one!

For more information about creating an MX record or any other DNS records for that matter, please refer to your domain registrar's website or search Google for instructions on how to create an MX record for your particular hostname (use "yourdomain" as the hostname. Once you've created an MX record for your domain and pointed traffic destined for Mail towards Xzazu, it's time to configure SMTP access using your mail client (i.e., Thunderbird. It's important to note that you cannot configure SMTP access until after you've created an MX record or else you wont be able to send emails from your mail client!
