In the recent years, with the popularity of cloud-based services and online storage, many individuals and businesses are doing their work on the cloud. Email is one of the most important applications in business activities. It is also one of the most important applications for personal use. Businesses use email to communicate with each other and their clients. Some of the emails are very important to businesses and can be even crucial to some cases. Thus, an email server that can be accessed from anywhere is needed for their business.
In our project, we have used WordPress as a blogging website. We want to synchronize WordPress with our email accounts so that we can access our emails via WordPress. This will help us manage our emails more effectively. This way, we do not have to check our individual email accounts all the time. We can access everything from a single place without having to check multiple emails. We can make changes in WordPress and it will reflect in all our emails.
MailChimp allows us to send automated emails using the information of our customers. MailChimp offers different plans based on the number of emails we send per month. For example, if we send up to 1,000 emails per month, we can use their free plan which gives us 500 subscribers and 12,000 emails per month. We can pay monthly or yearly. There are some extra features we need to pay for such as abandonment recovery, reminder calls and analytics.
If we exceed 12,000 emails per month, we have to upgrade our plan to Premium which is $10 per month. In the Premium plan, we get 10,000 subscribers and 50,000 emails per month. The price can be split into three payments if we decide to pay yearly instead of monthly. Premium also gives us access to more features such as segmentation, automation, social media integration and advanced reports.
Delivery is MailChimp’s communication platform where we can see all the analytics of our emails. Like any other system, there are limitations in Delivery depending on our plan. Free users only have access to basic metrics such as open rate, click-through rate and unsubscribes by country. They also have access to the feature called “subscribers” which lists down the emails of people who subscribed to our newsletter or fplow us on social media platforms. Aside from these features, they still cannot send out bulk emails because they have a limit of 12,000 emails per month.
Premium users have access to a lot more features such as individual level tracking, future date delivery and multi-channel campaign reporting. They also have unlimited subscribers so they do not have to worry about sending out too many emails at once. Lastly, Premium users also have access to more advanced metrics such as engagement rate and conversion rate. They are able to see how many people opened their email and clicked on any links or buttons in the email. Users can also track how many people subscribed to their email list or unfplowed them on social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter.
