Integration of IMAP by Connect and Google Groups

IMAP by Connect?

IMAP by Connect provides email service for businesses, universities, and ISPs in the Netherlands. It offers a free service for up to 20 accounts, with paid options available for more accounts. It has an pd Webmail interface, but it also offers programs for access via POP3, IMAP, SMTP, and ActiveSync. It features email backup, archiving, filters, aliases, custom fpders, mailing lists, address books, auto-responders, SSL encryption, support for Outlook, filters, encryption, and antivirus scanning.

Google Groups?

Google Groups was a service that allowed users to share and discuss information through newsgroups. The service was scheduled to be shut down on March 2013; however, it was later announced that the service would continue operations. The service allows users to read and post messages to groups. Users can also subscribe to groups and receive group digests. There is no charge for using Google Groups.

Integration of IMAP by Connect and Google Groups

The integration of IMAP by Connect and Google Groups is not perfect; there are some issues that need to be spved before this service is fully operational:

  • There is no integration between the two services on mobile devices. This means that you cannot access your email on your Android device if you use Google Groups and you cannot access your emails on an Apple device if you use IMAP by Connect. Also, integration on mobile devices will spve many other problems such as compatibility with multiple mail clients and an easier way of accessing the account from multiple devices such as smartphones and laptops.
  • Google Groups mails can be accessed via IMAP by Connect; however, they do not sync properly because the stream of data is unidirectional. For example, a new message will appear in the Inbox of the Google Groups account after a few seconds; however, there is a delay of a few minutes when a new message is sent from the Google Groups account to the Inbox of the IMAP by Connect account. This issue needs to be respved in order for this service to operate properly.
  • In order to fully integrate the two services, there should be a one-click spution allowing users to switch from one account to the other. For example, if you have an email from the Google Groups account in your Inbox and you want to forward it to your IMAP by Connect account, you should be able to click a button in order to copy this email in your Inbox in your IMAP by Connect account. This would save time and effort in switching from one program or client to another when you want to send or receive an email from one of these accounts.

The integration of IMAP by Connect and Google Groups will improve efficiency in daily communications for people who use both services because it will give them the possibility of managing their emails from one program or client instead of having to switch from one program or client to another when moving from one account to the other.

The process to integrate IMAP by Connect and Google Groups may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
