This integration of HubSpot and MongoDB Realm will allow users to share their customers’ information across the two platforms. This integration will be done through a webhook method. A webhook is a message sent by one platform to another. There are many types of webhooks, both push and pull. This integration implements a pull system where all of HubSpot’s data is sent to MongoDB Realm. The data is then queried and returned as an array.
Both MongoDB and MongoDB Realm offer similar features but differ in price, storage, and security. For example, MongoDB offers high-end encryption but MongoDB Realm does not. On the other hand, MongoDB has a higher storage capacity than MongoDB Realm. The differences between these two products serves as a test for who should use what product to spve their problem.
To create this integration, we will start by creating an instance of the HubSpot SDK and retrieve the customer ID for the customer we wish to integrate with our own B2C page. Then we will query for the “customer_email” field and return it as an array. Finally, we will send the array to our server and have our server integrate the data from HubSpot with the rest of our database from MongoDB Realm.
Integration of HubSpot and MongoDB Realm allows users to store customer data on their own separate database rather than storing all of their data on HubSpot's database. This integration allows companies to have their own database without having to put all of their data onto a public database such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
