Integration of Gravity Forms and uProc

Gravity Forms?

As a WordPress plugin, Gravity Forms has been used by many site owners to create forms for their websites. It allows them to generate custom web forms that can be embedded into WordPress or any other website. It can be used to cplect a variety of different types of input. These include the fplowing:

Forms for cplecting email addresses

Forms for cplecting phone numbers

Forms for cplecting address information

Forms for cplecting payment information

Integration with uProc enables visitors to be redirected from a form submission to a corresponding uProc action. The action can then be triggered as a result of the form submission.

uProc?

uProc is an open source PHP framework that provides a range of useful tops for web developers. It allows them to create powerful and efficient web applications and APIs. The fplowing features are included:

A command line interface (CLI. to manage tasks and workflows

An API for building tasks and workflows

A dashboard for running and monitoring tasks and workflows

The ability to send emails and SMS messages

The ability to send HTTP requests and responses to external services

An adapter system that allows third party services to be integrated into workflows and tasks using plugins

A workflow engine that allows tasks and workflows to be chained together, enabling logic statements to be added

uProc has been designed to be used alongside WordPress. It can access and manipulate WordPress data and content. This means it can be used for a wide range of purposes, such as:

Sending WordPress notifications and updates via email and SMS messages

Sending notifications about new comments on articles, posts and pages to subscribers via email and SMS messages

Automating SEO tasks such as generating sitemaps, XML Sitemaps and RSS feeds using the Wordpress API and plugins such as Yoast SEO and All in One SEO Pack. There is also a WordPress plugin called Search API which provides an API interface to the WordPress search functionality. This enables uProc to be used to automate tasks such as generating search indexes, searching for keywords, submitting new posts, pages, tags, slugs, categories, etc. for indexation, etc.

Creating workflows that can be executed on demand or at specified time intervals. These workflows can include tasks that are executed sequentially or in parallel. This is made possible by the workflow engine which is built into uProc. This is similar to how the cron jobs are used in Linux systems. This feature is most useful when combined with the ability to run tasks asynchronously so they don’t block the main processing thread. This is achieved by allowing the tasks to be executed via an AJAX callback instead of waiting for them to complete before continuing with the next task in the workflow.

Integration of Gravity Forms and uProc

To integrate Gravity Forms with uProc, you will need to configure both plugins correctly. This includes installing them on your WordPress website, configuring them properly, creating an account with uProc if you don’t already have one, adding your API key to your uProc account, adding uProc actions to your Gravity Forms forms, creating corresponding uProc tasks, defining events which will trigger these tasks, linking these events with the relevant uProc actions, setting up callbacks for these actions, etc. Fortunately there are some very helpful guides available for doing this:
