GoToMeeting is a web conferencing technpogy that allows users to hpd meetings with people across the world. It comes with free screen sharing, moderation capabilities, and much more. For Google Contacts, it is an app that allows users to store names and contact information on their computer. By integrating the two applications, GoToMeeting is able to use Google Contacts as its source of contact information. Thus, any user can log into GoToMeeting via a Google ID and it will automatically pull in the information from Google Contacts. The goal is to remove the need for users to manually enter information when they join a meeting.

This integration between GoToMeeting and Google Contacts is through the use of APIs. An API is a way to access data from one program through another program. In this example, the GoToMeeting application allows third party developers to create their own add-ons that are compatible with the application.
