Google Tasks is a free service that provides an application to organize and manage tasks, and send reminders. It is available for mobile devices, web browsers, in Gmail, and as an Outlook add-in. Google Tasks was released on June 28, 2006.
ClickSend SMS is a free service that lets users send text messages to cell phones in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Users can send text messages to a phone number or email address. Messages are sent using the user’s existing data plan or WiFi connection. The application uses a user’s phone number when sending messages. 
The integration of Google Tasks and ClickSend SMS allows users to send text messages to cell phones without leaving the Google Tasks application. The integration can be done through the “Other Actions” drop-down menu within the “Tasks” section of the Google Tasks website or through the “Other Actions” drop-down menu in the top right corner of a task card inside Gmail. When using this feature, users need to fill in the fields with the recipient’s phone number or email address. The message they want to send must also be typed into the message field. Once all fields are filled out, users click either “Send SMS” or “Send Email”.
The benefit of integrating Google Tasks and ClickSend SMS is that users do not have to leave the Google Tasks website or application in order to send text messages to cell phones. This saves time, especially when users are accessing their task lists from a mobile device.
