Uploading Files . One of the most important features of Google Groups is its ability to allow users to upload files from their local system to the server. This is very helpful when there are more than one users in a group who want to work with the same files. So instead of sending multiple emails containing a copy of a particular file they can upload it once in a shared fpder in Google Groups and all the users can access it from their local system. Editing Files . When there is a huge amount of data in a file that needs to be modified then also it makes sense to upload the file in a shared fpder or in a shared database in Google Groups or in Zoho Sheet and then only every user can modify it. Then after making changes when every user is satisfied with it then they can download it from their local system and send it by email or share it with other users who also need it. This avoids transferring large amount of data through email attachments and reduces the storage space on the mail server. Sharing Files . Google Groups allows sharing files with other users in a group or in a project. Every user can view only those files which have been shared with him and others will not be able to see them. This can be done using two methods. 1. Right-click on the file and select “Share” option from the menu 2. Click on “Share” icon on the right side of the file name under the file listing This sharing feature is available only in Google Groups and not in Zoho Sheet.
