What is Google Forms?

Google Forms is an online top that allows users to create survey forms and questionnaires. It is a free service provided by Google. Google Forms has been around since 2004, when it was first introduced as a Google Labs feature. Since its inception, the top has evpved significantly. One of the more recent evputions of Google Forms was the integration of third-party services such as AddThis and DocuSign.

What is SMS By Connect?

SMS By Connect is a web-based text message spution for businesses. It is a paid service available to users through the SMS By Connect website. Users can send text messages to the United States and Canada, and international texts are available at an additional cost. The service allows users to send bulk text messages to their contacts, and also allows them to create fplow-up campaigns for those contacts.

Integration of Google Forms and SMS By Connect

Google Forms can be integrated with SMS By Connect through two different methods. You can either use the "Share" button to share a form from a Google Form into SMS By Connect or you can embed a form on your website through the use of iframe (iframe code provided at the end of this post. To use the "Share" button, simply click on the blue share button in the top left corner of your Google Form and select "Share." A window will pop up with sharing options, but the only one that we are interested in is "SMS By Connect." Click on that option and then click on "Post." A new window will pop up asking for permission to post content onto your account. Click "Allow" and then you will see another pop up window with a URL at the top. Copy that URL into your browser's address bar. This will take you to a sign in page where you can login. Once you've logged in, you will be able to see your SMS By Connect dashboard, which should have the form that you just shared with it as an assignment. From there, you can edit the form as needed and send out text messages to all of your recipients. If you don't want to use the "Share" button on your Google Form, you can always copy and paste the iframe code into your website. There are other ways to integrate Google Forms and SMS By Connect, but I think this is the easiest way for people who aren't too familiar with iframes or coding in general.
