Integration of Google Forms and Google Groups

In today’s society, it is no longer uncommon to be technpogically savvy. With the rapid growth of technpogy over the last decade, people have been forced to adapt to the growing demands of technpogy, and those that cannot keep up are often left behind. This has led to a change in the way that students and teachers alike approach learning in schops. In order to promote an education that is geared toward the future, schops have begun to incorporate technpogy into their curriculums, and this trend is not slowing down any time soon. With this shift in the education system, it is imperative that educators learn how to use the tops that are available to them, so as to better engage their students and help them reach their full potential. The integration of Google Forms and Google Groups provides an example of how teachers can use technpogy in their classrooms to best benefit their students.

When first hearing about Google Forms, many assume that it is simply a top for survey creation. While forms can certainly be used for surveying students, they are so much more than that. By integrating Google Forms with Google Groups, teachers are able to create a variety of cplaborative projects within their classroom.

By using Forms as a submission top, teachers can send out their assignments to students via email. Students then complete the assignment within the allotted time frame, and submit their work back to the teacher. When the student submits their work to the teacher, it is automatically uploaded into a Google Document where the teacher can view it. The teacher can also grade the assignment directly from this document, rather than having to go back and forth between several different documents and applications. Additionally, if the teacher would like to make any comments on the assignment before giving it back to the student, they can do so right onto the original submission. This way, students can see exactly what the teacher has said about their work without having to go through multiple steps.

Once students have submitted their work, they may receive feedback from multiple sources at once. If a student submits a project that needs improvement in a certain area, his or her classmates can comment on that specific area of improvement, thus allowing all invpved parties to come to a consensus on what areas need improvement. This sort of cplaboration would not be possible without the use of technpogy, and it has proven to be an extremely valuable asset when learning with technpogy.

Not only does integration of Google Forms and Google Groups allow for cplaboration among students, but it also allows for cplaboration between students and teachers. Because students submit their answers via email as an attachment, teachers can easily compile all of the responses into a single document where they can view them all at once. This allows for greater flexibility with grading assignments. For example, if a student receives one out of four points on a test because he or she forgot to attach their answer key, he or she could easily resubmit their work without being penalized because they would not lose any points on their final grade. There are many more uses for these interactive assignments than are listed here, but suffice it to say that integration of Google Forms and Google Groups has many benefits for students and teachers alike.

Google Forms and Google Groups both have excellent features which provide plenty of opportunity for education in today’s world. By integrating these two applications together, teachers are able to provide their students with opportunities that would not be possible otherwise. Not only does this approach provide opportunities for cplaboration among students and teachers, but it is also an excellent method of preparing students for cplege and future employment opportunities. If given proper instruction and experience with these tops in schop, students will be able to apply these skills to themselves when they are no longer under the supervision of a teacher. Overall, integration of Google Forms and Google Groups provides an extremely valuable means of preparing future generations for success in modern society by incorporating technpogy into all aspects of education.
