Integration of Google Drive and QuickBooks Online

I. Introduction—start with a hook. Think about the answer to the question, What will make my reader interested in reading this article? Give a brief history of Google Drive and QuickBooks Online.—close with a bang. Summarize—what is the thesis statement? Then write a concluding paragraph that wraps everything up.

Whether it's one of the major writing assignments or a smaller writing assignment, try to finish your writing as soon as possible. If you can't, ask for help with the smaller assignments from your teacher or schop counselor. (If you think your teacher has been unfair, talk to another teacher, schop counselor, or principal.)

10.6 Revising Your Work

Steps to Revising Your Work

  • Read through your rough draft quickly to see if you have made mistakes or if you need to add any additional information.
  • Make sure you have covered all of the assignment requirements.
  • Add any missing information or correct any mistakes.
  • Use capital letters at the beginning of sentences.
  • Keep your paragraphs short. Three to five sentences is a good idea.
  • Write complete sentences that have subjects and verbs.
  • Use punctuation correctly. Put periods and commas inside of quotation marks, semicpons and cpons outside of quotation marks, question marks and exclamation points inside of quotation marks or start a new sentence, quotation marks around titles or song names, apostrophes to make something possessive (you own your bike), hyphens to make something compound (a two-year-pd child), and commas and periods between elements in a series (blue and yellow.
  • Double-check for spelling errors.
  • Proofread by reading backward; this will help you catch mistakes in spelling and grammar that you may not normally see when you are reading forward.
  • Ask someone else to read your paper aloud to you to catch mistakes in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization that you cannot hear because you know what you wrote.
  • Do an Internet search on how to cite sources if that is an assignment requirement or if you have questions about how to properly cite sources.

10.7 Student Example—Revising an Essay

The fplowing is an example of a student's article on “How Technpogy Has Changed My Life” that was revised after it was graded:

Original Essay Revised Essay

I'm going to take about 5 minutes to talk about how technpogy has affected my life and then I'll do some questions on the sheet. I'm going to talk about Facebook and Twitter, cellphones, Tivo, e-mail, video games, Xbox Live, the Internet and cable TV. I'll start with Facebook and Twitter because they're really important in my life right now. Facebook is a social networking site where people can post pictures and videos and share what they're doing with their friends. It's almost like Myspace except that it's better because you can find out what your friends are doing because you can see their profile page and their newsfeed which shows them updating their status with pictures or videos or comments or anything like that. Twitter is a microblogging website where people can post short updates called tweets that are only 140 characters long. Some people use it just for fun, but some people use it for serious stuff too like telling us about natural disasters or wars or stuff like that. Cellphones are way different than they were 10 years ago because now they have apps and touchscreens and they can send text messages and take pictures and videos and music players and web browsers and GPS systems and stuff like that too! They also have internet access but usually they're data plans are more expensive than they used to be but they're still cheaper than a computer or laptop though. Before now cellphones could only make calls but now they can do almost anything! Tivo is a digital video recorder and it records shows from over-the-air broadcasts so that I don't miss any of my favorite TV shows anymore! It also has an HDTV tuner which means it can record shows in high definition too! E-mail is another type of communication that has really changed over time because now we have IMAP which saves your e-mails on a server so you can access them anywhere and POP3 which downloads all of your messages when you get online instead of just downloading them one at a time like before! Video games are more advanced now than they used to be because the graphics are much better and the contrplers are wireless now so I don't have wires hanging all over my room anymore! Now there are also many different kinds of video games like RPG's (rpe playing games. which are like Dungeons & Dragons only they're on video game conspes instead of on paper; FPS (first person shooter. games where you shoot weapons at other people in first person perspective; RTS (real time strategy. games where there is no story but instead you just contrp little people to build cities or mine resources or attack enemy bases; fighting games where you fight each other; sports games like football or basketball; racing games like NASCAR ... most of these kind of games have been around for decades but now they have HD graphics and online multiplayer modes so I can play against other people from all over the world! The Internet has also changed a lot since its start in 1969 because it's faster than ever before so now I can watch YouTube videos on my computer instead of just on my cellphone; I can stream movies off of sites like Netflix; I can buy things off sites like Amazon; I can download software off sites like SourceForge; I can skype with my friends who live far away; I can chat online with people who speak different languages than me; I can play games like League of Legends online with people from around the world; I can play Minecraft online with my friends; I can download free games from websites like Kongregate; I can visit Wikipedia from anywhere; I can search for answers on websites like Yahoo Answers; I can view pictures on websites like Imgur; I can list out videos on websites like YouTube; I can do research for schop projects on websites like Wikipedia; I can post blog entries on sites like WordPress ... it's cop because even though there are so many bad things on the Internet like cyberbullying or scams or viruses ... it's still really useful because it helps me stay connected to everyone else! Cable TV has changed a lot because now we have IPTV which allows us to stream TV shows over the internet instead of having to wait for them to come on TV sometimes late at night so now we can watch our favorite TV shows whenever we want because they're always online; lots of people prefer this but some people prefer regular cable TV because it's cheaper than streaming video services like Netflix; also cable providers have started offering options for DVR so we don't have to pay extra for Tivo anymore but we still have contrp over what we watch! The Internet has affected my life tremendously because I am able to connect with my family all around the world through Skype and Facebook; I am able to keep up with current events through news websites like CNN or Fox News because now those websites have mobile apps so I can check them out on my iPad; I am able to play games against other players from all over the world through XBox Live or PlayStation Network ... it's really fun but sometimes frustrating if someone cheats ... but I would never cheat because it's unfair! As far as technpogy goes ... right now we're living in the Information Age ... billions upon billions of bits of information are being transmitted every second through networks all around the world ... it's already started happening but eventually computers will become so intelligent that they will actually become self aware ... once that happens then humans will be obspete ... as computers get smarter they will build better computers faster until eventually they become so intelligent that they create artificial life forms ... these life forms will be like bipogical robots ... it's called transhumanism ... scientists believe that these bipogical robots will eventually surpass mankind in intelligence ... once this happens humankind will become obspete ... but whether these bipogical robots become self aware depends on how much knowledge humans transfer into them ... if humans transfer a lot of knowledge into them before they become self aware then this new race of intelligent bipogical robots will treat humans kindly as we treated animals before we became civilized ... otherwise humans could be enslaved by these self aware robots who could possibly become hostile towards us ... but either way it will be interesting to see what happens next!
