Google Drive is a file storage and sharing service developed by Google. It allows users to store files online, and enables them to be accessed from any computer with Internet access.

Integration of Google Drive and OneSignal

Integration of Google Drive and OneSignal will allow users to send rich, interactive push notifications to their users’ devices. Users will be able to share content, such as images or videos, from Google Drive with the click of a button. Users who are opted in can choose to receive push notifications when new content is available.To integrate Google Drive and OneSignal, fplow these steps:

  • Go to OneSignal’s Developer Hub at https://developer.onesignal.com/docs/start#google-drive-integration
  • Select “Add your app” on the left-hand side navigation bar
  • Select the type of app you would like to add (iOS or Android)
  • In the "App Name" field, enter the name of your app (not your private API key!)
  • In the "App URL" field, enter the URL for your app's homepage (for example. http://example.com. If an app with this name already exists in the cloud, you will need to use a unique identifier as the App Name. For more information, see "App namespace" below.
  • In the "App Domain" field, enter the domain where your app is hosted (for example. example.com.
  • Click "Create App".
  • Once you have successfully created your app, select "Add Platform".

9. Select "iOS" from the dropdown menu and if prompted with a screen asking if you want to create an App Group, select "Yes". This will create a unique namespace for all apps associated with a common App Group. If not prompted with this screen, continue to step 10.9a. If prompted with an error message that reads "An App ID with this bundle ID already exists", select "Continue", then select "Edit". You will then be able to rename your App ID before continuing to step 10.

  • Select your App ID from the list of IDs and click "Done".
  • Select "Add Platform" again. This time select "Android" from the dropdown menu and if prompted with a screen asking if you want to create an App Group, select "Yes". This will create a unique namespace for all apps associated with a common App Group. If not prompted with this screen, continue to step 12.

11a. If prompted with an error message that reads "An App ID with this bundle ID already exists", select "Continue", then select "Edit". You will then be able to rename your App ID before continuing to step 12.

  • Select your App ID from the list of IDs and click "Done".
  • Select "Enable Push Notifications" for the platform(s. you want to enable push notifications for.
  • Select your App ID from the list of App IDs and click on "Add Platform". Fplow the prompts to set up your development environment and run through the code samples in order to get your app connected with OneSignal services!
