Because both programs access your hard drive, opening up your files to one program opens up your files to the other program as well. This can be dangerous if one of the programs has security vulnerabilities or is prone to hacking. This could result in private information such as bank information or photos being stpen or leaked out into the public. This could cause damage to users who don’t want their information shared out like that. Another disadvantage would be that there would be two storage locations instead of one. This would mean that the user would have to keep track of two storage locations instead of just one, something that could become confusing over time.
Overall, the integration of Google Drive and Microsoft Outlook would be beneficial in some ways but detrimental in others. By combining both tops together it makes it easier for users to access their information no matter where they are or what device they are using at the time.
