Even though Google CloudPrint supports many printers, there are some cases in which you would want to print something from your device to a particular printer rather than using Google CloudPrint. For example, if Google CloudPrint is not compatible with your printer's operating system or you have a wireless printer that you want to connect to your local network instead of connecting it to the Internet. In this case, you could use GoToMeeting as a virtual printer. The steps below will explain how to do this:Step 1. Install GoToMeeting on your computer (it is already installed if you have previously used it)Step 2. Open up GoToMeeting and sign in using your same login information that you used when signing up for GoToMeeting.Step 3. From the "File" menu at the top of the screen click "Share."Step 4. Click "Browse," navigate to the file that you want to save on GoToMeeting. The file should be selected and you will see a green check mark in the lower left hand corner of your screen; click "Open."Step 5. Once you have saved your file on GoToMeeting, it will appear in your list of current files. To print your file, go to your "My Files" tab or "My Meetings" tab located at the top of the screen. You should see your document listed along with all of the other files saved on GoToMeeting. Click the document that you want to print and then click "Start."Step 6. Once you have clicked "Start," you will be brought to the "Meet Now" page where you will be able to view all of the participants currently in your meeting. We were also able to reach our goal of allowing people who are unable to attend meetings in person an opportunity to participate virtually. One benefit of integration of these two applications was that we were able to overcome compatibility issues between our network printers and Google CloudPrint . Although we cannot access our network printers directly through our computers' web browsers, we were still able to access these printers by using GoToMeeting as a virtual printer. By doing this we were able to integrate these two applications together and create a more convenient way for students at CMC to print documents from their computers or mobile devices without having to go through Google CloudPrint . Another benefit was that we were able to make GoToMeeting compatible with our existing network printers. Although we cannot access our network printers directly through our computers' web browsers, we were still able to access these printers by using GoToMeeting . This made it possible for us to integrate these two applications together and create a more convenient way for students at CMC to print documents from their computers or mobile devices without having to go through Google CloudPrint .Another benefit of using these two applications together was being able to give students who don't have access to one of our network printers an opportunity to print work assignments without having to go through Google Cloud Print. Students who don't have access to one of our network printers are given an opportunity to sign up for a virtual meeting with one of our staff members who will then provide them with a virtual copy of their work assignment through GoToMeeting . This helps avoid situations where students are missing class time because they didn't receive their work assignment until they reached campus after schop hours. It also gives students who don't have access to one of our network printers an opportunity to get help from staff without having to go through the hassle of setting up an appointment with them outside of class hours.
