Google Calendar is an online calendar available to public. You can view your event, schedule or appointments from www.google.com/calendar. Google Calendar provides different views to its users. Standard view, list view, week view and day view is given to its users. From all these views, users can view their events, schedule and appointments.

Google Calendar has a webhook feature which allows its users to get notifications for events or amendments made to the calendar. This notification can be received by a server application that we own. This is done by using webhooks via the ‘/ajax/calendar/event_notify’ endpoint. The payload includes an Event object that contains details about the event such as the start time, end time, location etc. The event object also includes details such as eventId, startDate, endDate, title, summary, organizerEmail, attendees, attachments etc. The webhook callbacks should be implemented in the server application. These callbacks receive the payload sent by Google Calendar and whenever a user adds or modifies an event in the calendar, the server application will receive this information through webhook callbacks. The server application can then integrate Google Calendar with MongoDB Realm and update the appropriate data in MongoDB Realm database whenever an event occurs in Google Calendar.
