Freshdesk has the ability to add new task from the incoming e-mails which are received in the inbox. When you receive an email, it will be in the inbox. The default thing is to view the email by clicking on the Inbox button in Freshdesk. A drop down menu appears which contains an option called "Add New Task". When you click this option, a pop up window appears with two options i.e. "Add New Task" and "Add New Task (To Do Later)".When you select the Add New Task option in the pop up window, it redirects you to a new page where you need to provide the necessary information like Subject, Priority, Description, etc. Once you fill all the fields then click on save button. It creates a new task in your tasks section of Freshdesk dashboard.When you send an email from Google Mail to your Freshdesk Tickets, it will notify you as a notification in your Gmail account. The notification reads “Someone replied to a ticket you’ve created in Freshdesk”. This means that someone replied back to any of your tasks or tickets in Freshdesk. You can directly reply back to that comment/ticket by hitting Reply button in the notification itself. This comment will create a new task in your Freshdesk account.For example:When you integrate your Google Calendar with Freshdesk, whenever a new task is created in Freshdesk, it creates a reminder in your calendar of Google Calendar as well. It reminds you about the task that you have created in Freshdesk. And when you finish the task, then delete the task from Freshdesk by marking it as completed. But the reminder remains there until you either remove it manually from your Google Calendar or change the date of the reminder.
