Integration of Google Calendar and ClickMeeting

Google Calendar and ClickMeeting are two applications that can be used in the same way. They have some similar features and can be integrated with each other. In this paper, I will talk about how they can be integrated and their benefits.

Google Calendar is a web-based calendar that allows users to share their calendars with others. It supports multiple calendar views such as daily, weekly, monthly and agenda. As a cloud-based service, it stores user’s data in the cloud instead of a local storage. This means that users do not need to worry about losing the data when a device crashes or gets lost. The only thing they need to do is to log into their Google account and all their information will be there. Google Calendar also allows users to share their calendars with people by sending invitations via email. The invitation message contains the link to the calendar and the password used to view the calendar.Users can also create events on their calendar and invite other people to join. A new event can be created using “New Event” button or by clicking “Create an event” icon under the calendar when viewing an existing event. Another way to create an event is by adding an event from another calendar using “Find events” option or by clicking on an event and choose “Add to my calendar” option. When creating an event, users can add the title, description and location, set reminders and set whether the event should be private or public. There are also more options such as setting a response time for an event, attach files, set event status and make an event repeatable.A calendar can be shared with other users who have a Google account. There are two ways to share a calendar with others. shared publicly or shared with specific people. When sharing calendars with specific people, users can choose which calendar they want to share. For example, I can choose which calendar (such as work schedule. I want my friends to see. When inviting someone to a shared calendar, users need to know the email address of the invited person and his/her Google account username, if he/she has one. If he/she does not have a Google account username, users can still invite him/her by using his/her email address. Users can also send invitations by clicking “Invite people” icon under the calendar when viewing an existing event; however, invitations sent this way cannot be edited or deleted. In addition to sharing calendars with others, Google Calendar also allows users to create new calendars and manage existing calendars. To create a new calendar or manage an existing one, users just need to click on “My Calendars” option under the Settings menu on the left side of the screen and then click on “New Calendar” or “Edit” button under the selected calendar. New calendars can be created from scratch by entering its name and description or selecting one of Google’s pre-defined templates for hpidays, sports schedules etc. Users can also import calendars from other outlets such as Outlook, iCalendar or CSV file into Google Calendar by simply clicking on “Import Calendar” button on top right of the screen. The same applies when importing events from other calendars into Google Calendar but users need to edit them before posting them online as Google Calendar only imports events but not their descriptions or notes. If users want to manage events on their calendar, they can easily do so by clicking on “View events” option under the Settings menu on the left side of the screen and then clicking on the date they want to view events of that day. If they want to change an event such as its name, date and duration, they just need to click on it and edit it accordingly.Users can also print calendars by clicking on “Print” icon under the Settings menu on the left side of the screen and selecting whether they want to print selected calendars or all calendars. They can also export their calendars into Microsoft Outlook by clicking on “Export” icon under the Settings menu on the left side of the screen and choosing their format type from the dropdown list. iCalendar (.ics), vCalendar (.vcs), HTML (.html. or XML (.xml.There are two subscription plans for Google Calendar. free plan which allows users to share calendars with up to 50 people; and paid plan which allows unlimited sharing with up to 500 people at US$5 per month. Both plans have some limitations such as 100MB of storage space for free plan; and 2GB for paid plan.ClickMeeting is a web-based application that allows users to host video conferences over the internet using Adobe Flash Player. It supports PC-to-PC video conference service as well as PC-to-phone calls which means that users do not need extra software such as Skype installed in order to make phone calls during their video conference sessions. It also supports audio conference service; however, it does not support PC-to-phone calls in this case. Like Google Calendar, ClickMeeting is also a cloud-based application which means that all user data is stored in remote servers connected via internet instead of locally installed software in order to increase security level and prevent data loss in case a computer crashes or gets lost. ClickMeeting provides different types of accounts which allow users different levels of access. Free Account which allows users to create up to three rooms; Account Package 1 which allows users to create up to ten rooms and access advanced features such as recording sessions; Account Package 3 which allows users to create unlimited number of rooms and access even more advanced features such as custom room designs; and Enterprise Account which grants companies full customization abilities and use of enterprise features such as live broadcasting, external dial-in numbers, advanced analytics etc.. Users can choose any package they want depending on what kind of service they need. When creating a new account for ClickMeeting, users need to enter their contact information (email. and payment information (credit card. Payment information is required in order for ClickMeeting to verify that users are authorized owners of email addresses they use when creating accounts. In addition, payment information is needed in order for users to upgrade their accounts later if they decide that they want more capabilities than those provided in their current accounts. Creating an account takes only a few minutes; however, it takes much longer time performing account verification which requires information such as billing address, credit card number etc..When signing in for the first time, users need to enter their username and password which they used when creating accounts or else their account will remain pending until verification process is completed successfully. Until then, users cannot log into their accounts; however, they can send email messages through ClickMeeting’s help desk system directly from its sign-in page. They can also check their account status using its status page which provides more detailed information about their account including verification status and last login time etc.. If users receive emails from ClickMeeting’s help desk regarding account verification failure, they need to provide requested information in order for ClickMeeting’s staff members perform verification again; otherwise, their accounts will remain pending until staff members perform additional verification procedure successfully.Upon logging into their accounts for first time after successful verification procedure is completed, users are prompted with setup wizard where they need to set up conference rooms they want to use for hosting video conferences as well as audio conferences; however, they can skip this step if they already have prepared conference rooms ready for use. First time when opening a newly created room for use, users need to enter room information such as its name, description (optional), background image (optional. and whether they want other people to join this room during video conferences (if so, they need to specify unique code which others will use. Users can also choose different types of layouts for their rooms such as square layout or theater layout; however, these layouts only apply when hpding video conferences because phone lines are not available during audio conferences so there are no layouts for them at all. Users can also change room settings such as maximum number of participants allowed during video conferences; however, these changes only take effect once another participant joins this room since room settings are changed immediately after another person joins it while it takes several minutes for room settings to change once new participants leave it – usually until next phone call starts. Phone calls take place every 10 minutes unless all participants joined this room recently; then they will join again at the beginning of every minute until another phone call starts or everyone leaves this room except caller who remains connected during entire duration of phone call unless he/she disconnects manually or stops answering incoming calls by pressing * key when hearing ringing sound during phone call session – this way other participants will be notified that “caller” is not available anymore and will not try calling
