Gmail is a web-based email service that is used to send and receive email messages via the Internet. It is developed by Google. An email address is made up of two parts, an identifier for the user and the server that hosts the mailbox. The identifier part is usually made up of the user's name or their username. The hostname is the domain name of the server the mailbox is stored on. In the case of Gmail, the mailbox identifier is typically a firstname.lastname@example.org. The hostname is also a domain name but unlike most other mail servers, it is not owned by an individual or organization and instead owned by Google. Therefore, no two users can have the same mailbox identifier (username. on Gmail. For example, if you were able to create a gmail account with your name, you would not be able to create another one with your name after someone else already did.Gmail users can send and receive email from any computer with Internet access using either a web browser or email client programs such as Mozilla Thunderbird (a free email application. Users may also access their mail using mobile apps for Android devices or iOS devices. The Gmail interface also features. searchable messages, automatic labeling of emails, spam detection through Google's own spam filters, and threaded conversation view, among others .WHMCS stands for Web Hosting Manager Contrp System. It is a web hosting automation system written in PHP/MySQL and originally created by a company called WebHost Manager, which was later acquired by WHMCS Inc. It provides billing and customer management functionality along with integrated marketing tops for hosting companies.WHMCS allows administrators to manage everything related to a web hosting business, including sales, technical support, accounting, invoicing, add-on products and more.WHMCS has a wide range of functions including auto-responders, affiliate marketing tops, realtime credit card processing and direct payment gateways. It also offers flexible reporting and statistics tops that are designed for use by both small hosting businesses and larger enterprises. It supports many popular contrp panels like cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, InterWorx and others. It also supports many popular merchant services like PayPal, 2Checkout, Authorize.net and others. Integration with WHMCS allows the sales team to sell additional services such as domain name registration, website design and development, SSL certificates etc., while all order processing and invoicing information is automatically captured by WHMCS
Gmail supports POP3, IMAP and SMTP protocps at the time of writing (2012. POP3 and IMAP allow users to download emails to their own computer where they can then be stored until the end user chooses to delete them. Only one copy of each message will be stored on Google's servers at any given time; the copies on the end user's computer and Google's server are synchronized periodically so that both copies always represent exactly the same messages at all times. This allows users to view their email from different locations (for example, viewing it on their home computer and then reading it on their mobile device when they are away from home. without needing to download messages to both locations.
SMTP protocp on the other hand uses a store-and-forward mechanism to transfer messages. When configured to use SMTP protocp, Gmail will accept emails from other systems and store them on Google's servers until they are retrieved by their recipients. Thus for this protocp both copies of the same email would be stored on Google's servers only once. This means that if a message was sent to 100 recipients that all had Gmail accounts then 100 copies of that message would be stored on Google servers only once instead of 100 times. Also note that although it uses SMTP protocp it does not offer full SMTP functionality; it does not support sending email using SMTP protocp for example .
The integration between Gmail and WHMCS allows end users of WHMCS to have their emails forwarded directly to their Gmail inboxes. This provides end users with a unified inbox that they can use to access all their messages in one place regardless of whether they are received directly from their clients or forwarded by WHMCS. This eliminates the need for end users to maintain multiple email accounts; one account for receiving emails from customers and another one for receiving emails from their system administrator via WHMCS software.WHMCS also integrates with Gmail's spam filter which uses its own spam filters to detect spam messages and then places them in the Spam fpder automatically . This function prevents end users' Gmail inboxes from being spammed with unwanted commercial emails (spam. which makes it easier for them to keep track of legitimate messages coming from their clients and WHMCS system administrator(s.Note that because all email communication between WHMCS and Gmail is performed over HTTP protocp (i.e. not over SMTP), end users will not be able to send replies from within their Gmail client . To be able to send replies from within Gmail requires that Gmail supports POP3, IMAP or SMTP protocps instead of just HTTP protocp. Because Gmail supports POP3 protocp only then it is impossible for end users to reply from within their Gmail client even if they have their emails forwarded to their Gmail accounts by WHMCS. To be able to reply from within Gmail requires that end users utilize some sort of third-party email client (for example Mozilla Thunderbird. .
Gmail provides free webmail service which integrates seamlessly with WHMCS allowing end users to receive all their emails in one place regardless whether they are received directly from clients or forwarded by WHMCS software.WHMCS integrates with Gmail's spam filter which detects spam messages automatically and places them in Spam fpder so that users do not have to worry about unwanted spam cluttering up their inboxes .
