Integration of Gmail and Google Meet

In this article, I will discuss Gmail and Google Meet. The first question that comes to mind is what is Gmail and what is Google Meet? In the past, people used to use email for communication. People who were not tech-savvy users used to have issues accessing their emails. They also had a hard time using email apps on their phones. To ease this issue, Google came up with a service called Gmail. Gmail is a web-based email app that presents a user’s emails in a simple and organized manner. The email app automatically organizes emails based on their content, sender, and time received. It also allows the user to categorize the emails into fpders. Gmail is compatible with all major operating systems. A user can access Gmail through any device whether it is a computer, tablet, or mobile phone. However, Gmail is not just an email app; it is also an integrated communication top.

Google Meet is another communication top that allows people to communicate in real time through video conference. There are three ways of using Google Meet that are live chat, shared screen, and group video calls. The live chat option lets you chat with someone in real time without having to download any extra software. You can chat with one person or multiple people at once. The shared screen option lets you share your screen with someone else while you work together on something like typing an email or working on a document. With the group video call option, you can make video calls with up to ten people at the same time. Google Meet works on both Android and iOS platforms. It is free of charge but requires you to have a Gmail account to use the service.

Gmail and Google Meet are two different services but they serve the same purpose; they allow people to communicate in real time through video conference. A few years ago, people used to use email for communication but they faced issues accessing their emails on their mobile devices because most of the email apps were not compatible with mobile devices. This problem was overcome when Google created Gmail which was specifically designed for mobile devices so that users can access their emails from anywhere. Gmail was also able to show the user which of their emails had attachments, which were sent by people they rarely corresponded with, which were sent by particular contacts, etc. With Gmail, users are able to access their emails from anywhere, anytime.

Google Meet on the other hand is a communication top that was specifically designed to facilitate communication through video conference in real time. Google Meet has three options of communication; these are the live chat option, shared screen option, and group video call option. With the live chat option, one can chat with up to ten people at once for free without having to download any extra software. When one of the participants leaves the conversation, they are automatically removed from the list of participants. With the shared screen option, one can share their screen with someone else while working on something together like typing an email or working on a document. With the group video call option, one can make video calls with up to ten people at the same time without additional charges or downloads required. The group video calls can be made in up to forty-five minutes at a time and then must be renewed after that time expires.

In conclusion, both Gmail and Google Meet serve the same purpose; they allow communication through video conference in real time. Today there are no more issues accessing emails from mobile devices because Gmail has been designed for such purposes. While there are many free communication options available today such as WhatsApp, Skype and Viber, among others, these communication tops do not offer the same simplicity and convenience as Gmail and Google Meet do. Although Gmail and Google Meet both have features that allow them to communicate in real time through video conference, Gmail requires users to have a Gmail account while Google Meet requires you to have a Gmail account and an Android phone or an iPhone.
