Milestones are used for planning and organizing projects by splitting them into smaller pieces. This allows developers to see what step they are in during the development process. This does not seem to blend well with LinkedIn because LinkedIn does not provide a similar service for track progress made on projects or blog posts. But this could be fixed if GitLab provided more detailed ways of handling issues rather than just assigning them to different priority levels or creating milestones for them. Another thing that could be improved is the ability for developers to communicate with each other while working on projects together through GitLab's issue tracker instead of communicating through emails or IRC. This would allow developers to respond faster instead of having to search through emails or chat logs for previous conversations.
