Zoho Books is an accounting application that offers accounting and invoicing services. The application provides a platform for creating invoices and tracking the payments received from customers. The application allows users to set up recurring invoices. It allows users to generate invoices with custom fields that can be used to track information on the invoice.

Integration of Freshworks CRM and Zoho Books

Integration of Freshworks CRM and Zoho Books can be done using Zapier which is a web automation app that allows users to create ‘zaps’ or connections between various apps. A zap is a connection between two apps that performs a specific task when a trigger occurs. For example a user can create a zap that creates a new customer record whenever a new lead comes into his/her Freshsales account. A Zapier account is required to integrate between Freshworks CRM and Zoho Books. Zapier supports over 750 apps including both paid and free apps. The integration of Freshworks CRM and Zoho Books can be done by fplowing these steps:

  • To set up the integration between Freshworks CRM and Zoho Books, go to Zapier and login with your account. Once logged in go to the ‘Make a Zap’ page and click ‘Make a Zap’ button to start creating your first zap.
  • Now select the apps you want to connect with each other. In this case select ‘Freshworks CRM’ as one app and ‘Zoho Books’ as another app.
  • Then select what you want to do when the trigger occurs. In this case, choose ‘Create an item in Zoho Books’ option.
  • Now select what action should take place when the trigger happens. In this case, choose ‘Create an Invoice’ option.
  • Next, you will see the parameters for this action. The first parameter is called ‘Trigger Field’. This field defines which field should be used as the trigger for the action. Select ‘Is equal to’ radio button and then click on ‘Field Name’ drop down box to select the field name that you want to use as the trigger for the action.   • Next you have to specify which value should be used as the condition for the trigger.   • Click on Save & Finish option at the bottom right corner of the page once you are done defining all parameters for this zap.
  • Your zap has now been configured successfully! The next time you create a new customer record inside your Freshworks CRM account, Zapier will automatically create an invoice inside your Zoho Books account with the details of this new customer record in it!
