  • Evernote Business (formerly known as Evernote Plus. has implemented a new feature called “Email by Connect”.

    This feature is integrated with Chargebee which helps users to charge their clients for the use of Evernote Business.

  • Chargebee?
  • Chargebee is a cloud-based billing platform that provides subscription management, recurring billing, invoicing, and payment cplection services for businesses. It helps businesses to manage subscriptions via web, email, SMS, etc.

  • Integration of Email By Connect and Chargebee
  • With this integration, customers can now pay their subscription fees using any mode of payments they want i.e. credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, etc. This payment is also processed by Chargebee.

    How can you integrate Email By Connect and Chargebee? Here are the steps to fplow:

  • Setting up the integration in Chargebee
    • Go to “Settings” in your Chargebee account.
    • Select “Integrations” from the left side menu. Then click “New integration” button. A pop-up window appears where you need to fill in the details about your business including Business Name, Chargbee SID etc. You can find this information on your invoice or by logging into your account on the portal of Chargebee. After filling the form, click the “Create Integrations” button. A popup comes where you can select the type of integration you want to set up between Chargebee and Email By Connect. Select “Evernote Business – Email by Connect” and click “Continue” button to proceed further. Now you will be redirected to the next screen where you need to click “Continue” button again. You will be asked to create an API Key which is required for the integration to work properly. To generate an API key, you need to click “Generate New Key” button and then “Apply Changes” once you have created one. You can also download the API key for future reference if you want to do so. At this point, you can test your integration by clicking “Test Connection” button and filling in the “Evernote Business – Email by Connect” field with your Invoice Number and any other necessary details like Invoice Number and Invoice Date. Once you have filled the details and clicked “Test Connection” button, a popup will appear showing if your integration was successful or not. If it shows any errors, it is because of incorrect details that were entered during integration process. You can go back and fix those details and try again until the integration works as it should be. If your integration has been successful, the popup will show a success message along with a green tick mark against it. It is recommended that you enter a unique name for this integration so that it doesn’t get confused with other integrations you have set up earlier. Once you have named it appropriately, click “Save Integration” button. Now that your integration has been set up successfully, go back to your dashboard by clicking on “Dashboard” button from the top right corner. Then click on “Settings” button from the left side menu and select “Other Settings” from the resulting pop-up window. You will be redirected to a page where you can see all the integrations set up for your account. In the list, you will find a section mentioning your newly created integration along with a toggle button beneath it which allows you to turn this integration on or off as per your requirement. If you turn this toggle button ON, then this feature will be enabled for all users in your account who have either opted for Evernote Business Individual plan or who fall under Evernote Business Team Plan as well as those who have purchased Evernote Business Premium Plan through their subscription plans as well as those who have purchased Evernote Business Premium Plan directly from Evernote Business portal portal itself. If however, you turn off this toggle button OFF, then this feature will be disabled for all users in your account who have either opted for Evernote Business Individual plan or who fall under Evernote Business Team Plan as well as those who have purchased Evernote Business Premium Plan through their subscription plans as well as those who have purchased Evernote Business Premium Plan directly from Evernote Business portal portal itself. b. Integrating Email By Connect and Chargebee using Zapier If you want to add more features to the integration process by adding some extra steps in between two steps described above, then you can use Zapier service with Chargebee and Email By Connect integrations.
