Integration of Dropbox and macOS Calendar

Dropbox?

Dropbox is a cloud storage service that allows users to save files to the cloud. With Dropbox, users can access their files from any device with an internet connection. To add a file to your Dropbox, you simply drag and drop it into your main Dropbox fpder (usually located in your Documents fpder), or use the “add” button in the Dropbox app on your computer. If you want to add a group of files, you can use the “add all” button. Once added to your Dropbox, your files are automatically backed up, so you’ll never have to worry about losing them.

Dropbox also offers cloud storage for business and enterprise customers, but these products are beyond the scope of this article.

macOS Calendar?

macOS Calendar is an application available on Apple computers and mobile devices that keeps track of appointments and events. It comes built-in with macOS operating systems, and is also available as a free download for iPhones and iPads. It can sync with Google Calendar, Outlook, Office 365, iCalendar, iCloud, Exchange, Yahoo Calendar, and other calendar services.

Integration of Dropbox and macOS Calendar

Dropbox is a great way to store files on the cloud and access them from anywhere, but it lacks an inbuilt calendar-management system. This means that you need to use a different program to keep track of your appointments and events. For many people, Google Calendar works perfectly for this purpose. However, if you use Google Calendar or another third-party calendar on a Mac or iPhone (as opposed to a PC or Android device), you may find that saving an appointment to Google calendar results in two copies of the same event. one in the macOS Calendar app, and one in Google Calendar.

This problem can be spved easily by integrating Dropbox and macOS Calendar. When using Google Calendar on your Mac or iOS device, you can add a task in Google Calendar which will automatically be saved in Dropbox as a .ics file (the standard format for calendar files. Then, when you open the task in your Dropbox app on your Mac or iOS device, it will automatically sync with macOS Calendar. The .ics file will then be saved in macOS Calendar as an appointment for the appropriate time. You can also create multiple .ics files as tasks in Google Calendar and they will all sync to macOS Calendar (you just have to select the correct task in Dropbox when creating an appointment.

The benefit of this method is that every time you make changes to an appointment in Google Calendar, it will automatically be updated in macOS Calendar. It also saves both your Google Calendar events and your macOS Calendar events in Dropbox, so you don’t need to worry about losing them due to a hard drive crash or computer failure. This is particularly useful if you want to transfer your calendars between devices - simple copy the .ics files from Dropbox onto another device and they’ll be copied into Google Calendar and macOS Calendar, respectively.

Benefits of Integration of Dropbox and macOS Calendar

This integration makes it much easier to keep track of appointments across multiple devices. It also makes sharing calendars much simpler, since most people have access to a computer at work or schop and use their phones to keep track of appointments on the go. If you need to share a calendar with someone else, you can save the .ics file as a task in Google Calendar. They will receive an email informing them that a new task has been added to their Google Calendar; once they open it they will be able to view it on their own Calendar app using their own login credentials. Alternatively, they can view it directly through Google Calendar itself without logging in or giving any personal information. No matter how many times they open it while logged out, the appointment will still be visible. Once they log in to Google Calendar (or give access permissions), the appointment will sync with their mobile devices or computer and they will be able to view it there as well.
