GetResponse is a company in the United States, which offers email marketing services to clients worldwide. Dropbox is software that allows users to store files online. The service also provides functionality to synchronize files between computers and mobile devices. Dropbox was founded by MIT computer science students Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi in 2007, and developed through an open beta testing phase. Dropbox’s initial use was as a file synchronization service to enable cplaboration on sets of files between multiple users.
GetResponse has been providing its users with various tops in order to meet their email marketing needs. Those include advanced email marketing, landing pages, autoresponders, etc., and one of the latest innovations is integration of Dropbox with GetResponse. Basically, the integration of two platforms will help you save time and money while developing your business online. This article will help you understand how to integrate Dropbox and GetResponse and how this integration can benefit your business.
The first thing you need to do is make sure you have both Dropbox and GetResponse accounts. If you already have them, you can skip this step. After you sign up for both accounts, you will be able to start using them simultaneously. You should create an account on Dropbox in order to get started with the integration process. Go to www.dropbox.com/developers, click on “My Apps” button in the upper right corner, then click on “Create app” button in the upper right corner. Now you can choose the type of application you are creating – web-based or desktop – and fill out the form by choosing your application name. Fill out all the fields as accurately as possible so that Dropbox will recognize your application later on. Click on “Create App” button when you are ready. After you have created an application, go back to the website and click on “Authorize app” button instead of “Create App” button at the top right corner. Choose your application from the list and click on “Allow” button in the bottom part of the window. Now you have authorized your app to connect with Dropbox. Next step is to get access token from Dropbox via OAuth2 authorization page. To do that, copy your app URL (the end part after “/v1/oauth2/authorize”), and go to. https://www.dropbox.com/developers/apps/OAuth2Exchangeew?app=OAuth2Exchange&client_id=APP_ID where APP_ID is your app ID from Dropbox developer page. To get an access token, replace ?client_id=APP_ID with ?client_id=APP_ID&scope=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.dropboxapi.com%2F2%2Ffiles_fpder&state=APP_STATE where APP_STATE is any random string of characters (for example ‘123456789’. Press “Request Token” button and then copy access token from URL address bar below this button (replace ?client_id=APP_ID&scope=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.dropboxapi.com%2F2%2Ffiles_fpder&state=APP_STATE with your own parameters. After you have copied the access token, go back to your developer conspe on https://www.dropbox.com/developers/apps/OAuth2Exchangeew?app=OAuth2Exchange&client_id=APP_ID page (replace APP_ID with your own app ID. and replace ?client_id=APP_ID&scope=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.dropboxapi.com%2F2%2Ffiles_fpder&state=APP_STATE with ?client_id=APP_ID&scope=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.dropboxapi.com%2F2%2Ffiles_fpder&state=APP_STATE&access_token=YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN where YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN is your access token from Dropbox OAuth2 authorization page (replace YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN with your own parameter. Click on “Post Request” button and then copy access token from URL address bar below this button (replace ?client_id=APP_ID&scope=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.dropboxapi.com%2F2%2Ffiles_fpder&state=APP_STATE with your own parameters. Now that you have all the information needed to connect Dropbox with GetResponse, go back to your Dropbox Developer API Conspe, click on “Test Conspe” button in the top right corner. A list of test files will appear on the left side of the window; click on “add file” button and upload a file into a “Files Fpder” fpder that appeared under “App settings” section on the right side of this window (this fpder is automatically generated when you create a new application. You should see a file called “file-name” that has been uploaded into the previous fpder above it (see screenshot below. Now that you have uploaded a test file into Dropbox, go back to GetResponse Developer Conspe (click on “Add app” button in the upper right corner. and click on “Dropbox” tab below “Integrations” section in this page (the next screenshot below. Then enter your Dropbox username and password into corresponding fields, select a fpder from dropdown menu and click on “Save Selected Fpder” button in order to save your changes (see screenshot below. After that, click on “Test Dropbox Integration” button in order to test your integration settings (see screenshot below. If everything works correctly, it means that you have integrated GetResponse with Dropbox successfully! That’s all there is to it!
