He can select which templates he wants to use for his site, and can customize them using some of Tookan’s built in options. For example, he can enter different text for various sections of the message template, or can add tags which are used to populate the subject line of the email message. Once he is finished customizing his templates, he can send out an initial test message to ensure that everything works correctly before sending real alerts to actual users. Once he is satisfied with his templates, he can then change some settings within his Downtime Alert contrp panel settings to enable Tookan integration. This requires him to enter in his Tookan API key and secure token (provided by Tookan. and then select whether he wants to send out text messages or emails when his site goes down.
