Integration of DocuSign and Zoho Sheet

DocuSign?

DocuSign is an e-signature service provider that was founded in 2004 by Keith Krach. DocuSign has over 250,000 businesses and 500 million users who use the service to sign and send documents online. DocuSign has a global footprint with offices in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia. DocuSign also has a few acquisitions including PostageOnWeb (2004), ActiveCampaign (2006), and Nintex (2015.

Zoho Sheet?

Zoho Sheet is a spreadsheet app that was founded in 2005 by Sridhar Vembu. Zoho Sheet has over 400 million users who utilize the service to manage their spreadsheets. Zoho Sheet is a cloud-based service that allows people to access their spreadsheets from anywhere. In addition to spreadsheets, Zoho Sheet offers other apps such as “Zoho Invoice” for invoicing and “Zoho Showroom” for managing inventory in your store.

Integration of DocuSign and Zoho Sheet

Integration between DocuSign and Zoho Sheet allows users to seamlessly send documents from DocuSign to Zoho Sheet for analysis or review purposes. This integration allows users to not only receive tasks in their inbox but also complete them without having to check multiple services. For example, you can send an invoice or expense report to multiple people for approval using one platform. As you can see in the graphic below, you can easily integrate between DocuSign and Zoho Sheets by fplowing a few simple steps:

Step 1. To integrate between the two platforms, users must first create an account on DocuSign. After creating an account, users should be able to see how many recipients are currently utilizing DocuSign. In order to integrate DocuSign with Zoho Sheets, users must simply click “Add Zoho Sheet” as shown below:

Step 2. If you are not already signed into your Zoho Sheet account, you will be asked to do so. After signing into your Zoho Sheet account, you will be asked if you would like to allow DocuSign to link with your sheet as shown below:

Step 3. After allowing the integration, you will be provided with a link that will take you back to your Zoho Sheet account where users will be able to view any information sent from DocuSign. In this example, we can see that a new task was added to the “Ideas” fpder for processing as shown below:

Benefits of Integration of DocuSign and Zoho Sheet

After integrating the two platforms, there were a few benefits that I noticed immediately. The best benefit was being able to go back and forth between the two platforms while completing tasks. In addition to going back and forth between the two platforms, there were two other benefits that I found useful during my integration process:

  • Automated Task Creation – One of the most useful features of integration was being able to automatically create tasks in your Zoho Sheet after sending an email from DocuSign. This feature made it possible for me to quickly add tasks to my calendar without having to create them manually.
  • Email Notifications – Another beneficial feature of integration was being able to receive email notification when I received tasks in my email inbox. Since DocuSign allows you to add tasks to your calendar through email notifications, this feature allowed me to add these tasks directly to my calendar without having to visit another website or app. Here is an example of what the email looks like when you receive a task through DocuSign:
