Integration of DocuSign and Firebase Cloud Storage

DocuSign?

DocuSign is an eSignature platform that allows you to sign documents electronically. It was founded by Tom Gonser, Jacob Fenwick and Keith Krach back in 2003. In 2012, DocuSign received $105 million in funding from Morgan Stanley. In 2015, DocuSign received $70 million in funding from Accel Partners. DocuSign offers a variety of services including signature capture, signature delivery, return receipt management, document and data storage, workflow automation, remote signing and much more.

Firebase Cloud Storage?

Firebase Cloud Storage is a cloud storage service that enables developers to store files in the cloud. The Firebase Cloud Storage service is designed for storing large structured datasets that are used either as a backup or as a primary data source. Firebase Cloud Storage is built on top of Google Cloud Storage (GCS), which is an object store with a simple web service interface and a highly scalable infrastructure. Firebase Cloud Storage supports cross-origin resource sharing (CORS. This means that CORS headers are included in the responses when accessing Firebase Cloud Storage resources over HTTP. This allows you to serve content from a web application hosted on a different domain than the one where you have your Firebase project.

Integration of DocuSign and Firebase Cloud Storage

Google Docs does not allow you to sign documents electronically. But there are many other tops that do offer this functionality, such as Adobe Sign and DocuSign. To include signing functionality in your app, you could embed the signing form directly into your app. However, this is not very user friendly because the user would have to download another app just to sign documents electronically. A better spution would be to include the signing form in an iFrame. This would allow you to keep your app light weight. However, you would still have to serve the signing form from another domain and use CORS headers to make it work properly. This also adds complexity to your code base by introducing a dependency on another library (such as jQuery. Another problem is that users would have to create an account on your site before they can sign documents electronically. You could spve all of these problems by integrating DocuSign and Firebase Cloud Storage together. This allows you to serve the document signing form from your own domain. This would simplify things by removing the need for CORS headers. Users can sign documents electronically right in their browser without having to create an account on your site first. You just need to provide them with their API key and they can start using the service right away.

Benefits of Integration of DocuSign and Firebase Cloud Storage

The benefits of integrating DocuSign and Firebase Cloud Storage together include:

  • Simplified Architecture. Since users do not have to go through a third-party website before they can sign documents electronically, users will not have to worry about creating an account on a third-party website before they can sign documents electronically. Your app architecture becomes simpler because you don’t need a third-party library such as jQuery or Javascript handling the interactions with the third-party website. You only need to provide your users with their API keys and they are good to go!
  • Works Offline. Even if your users are offline, they can still sign documents electronically! There are no network permission or tokens required to access the API from the browser since Firebase Cloud Storage is built on top of Google Cloud Storage, which already takes care of all of those things for you! Using Google’s cloud storage service allows you to save costs and revenue while serving large file sizes from your application instead of external sites like Dropbox or Drive, which charge per gigabyte transferred. Also, your users will not have to wait for long periods of time when uploading large files because Google Cloud Storage has many points of presence globally throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America!
  • Easy Integration. Since Firebase Cloud Storage is part of the Firebase platform, it integrates seamlessly with Firebase Authentication! This means that you can add user authentication (with email verification. within minutes without having to set up anything at all! If you were going to use any other cloud storage service besides Google Cloud Storage for this integration, then you would have had to set up another server or host somewhere else and write code that allowed your users to authenticate against that server or host using some sort of third-party authentication system such as Facebook or Twitter! But now that Firebase Authentication is built into Firebase Cloud Storage, you get all of that functionality for free! Simply plug in your API key and you’re ready to go! That’s what we call “Simplicity”!

In conclusion, DocuSign and Firebase Cloud Storage were made for each other! They both offer great features that can be leveraged together to create innovative apps that would otherwise be very difficult or expensive to build using other methods! With this integration, we hope that you can create apps faster and cheaper while being able to leverage many great features that both services have to offer!
