DocuSign is an electronic signature service that allows users to electronically sign documents and agreements without the need for a physical signature. It enables users to sign and send documents to other users, and also to sign documents remotely from their mobile devices. DocuSign was founded in 2004 as a private company, with $2 million in funding from Technpogy Crossover Ventures (TCV. In 2007, DocuSign was acquired by Adobe Systems for over $500 million. In 2014, DocuSign acquired companies SignEasy and TrustSign, and opened an office in India. The company has more than 1.7 million users in more than 200 countries and territories. DocuSign’s headquarters are located in Palo Alto, California. Other offices include Austin, Texas; Dublin, Ireland; Bangalore, India; and Seoul, South Korea.

  • Amazon DynamoDB?
  • Amazon DynamoDB is a fast, highly scalable NoSQL database service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS. It was first released in 2012 as a limited preview version of its predecessor Amazon SimpleDB. Amazon DynamoDB is designed to provide “single-digit millisecond latency at every layer of the technpogy stack.” Amazon DynamoDB is a cloud-based database, hosted on AWS servers and accessed via web services interfaces including HTTP, Query Language (DQL), and the AWS SDK. Amazon DynamoDB provides automatic indexing along with the ability to create additional secondary indexes on demand. Additionally, it supports multi-document transactions and “online schema changes” to allow database tables to be easily added, deleted, or modified while the database is running. In comparison to relational databases such as MySQL and SQL Server, DynamoDB uses a dynamic partitioning scheme rather than static schemas. The partition key is designed to scale as elements are added to the database, thereby providing high performance with minimal maintenance. Amazon DynamoDB uses clients written in the Java programming language, but the API can be called using languages such as JavaScript and Python. In its initial release, Amazon DynamoDB only supported web requests; but beginning in 2016, support was added for use with Amazon Lambda functions. Amazon DynamoDB can be used along with Amazon Elastic MapReduce for data-intensive workloads such as log processing and machine learning.
