Integration of Deskpro and Downtime Alert


Deskpro is a full-feature, customizable application for the Motorpa HT750 handsets. It provides the user with numerous options to customize the application. Deskpro allows you to add a variety of features including:

  • Contact groups
  • Ringtones and tones
  • Custom button labels and icons
  • Custom backgrounds and screensavers
  • Custom groups and menus
  • Custom personal information
  • Custom notification sounds
  • Custom phone settings and preferences

In addition to these features, Deskpro also allows you to:

  • Create contacts from your PC database or in the Handspring Visor/Palm OS and import them directly into Deskpro.
  • Send and receive email messages between the HT750 and your computer,

including attachments.

  • Manage all your contacts from your PC database (including those that are not in Deskpro. by exporting them and importing them back into Deskpro as well as importing them into your desktop application through a POP3 connection.
  • Use all of your existing contact information on Palm OS handhelds, including Microsoft Outlook™ contacts, in Deskpro.
  • Share data between multiple handsets on the same network. For example, if you have three HT750s, you can sync all three together so that as you make changes to one handset they will automatically be updated on each of the other two handsets. You can also sync just some of these handsets together if you want. This is extremely useful for teams who need to keep their communications and contacts up to date. For example, a sales team with five members could share information among all five handsets. An executive and his secretary could share information among three handsets that they carry at separate times. And the same group could share information between two different sets of handsets if they had several meetings during the course of the day. The possibilities are endless.

  • Downtime Alert?
  • Downtime Alert is a software application that alerts you when your device has received a message but you do not pick it up within a period of time. When you’re busy, your device can be in your pocket, purse or bag while you’re working on something else. Downtime Alert reminds you when you have new messages. It’s similar to a “beeper” or “ringer” on a business telephone, only louder. The application generates a sound every few minutes until you acknowledge it by pressing the power button on the handpiece or the speaker. The sound stops when you press either button. If you still do not respond after about 45 minutes, Downtime Alert continues for another 30 minutes, then turns off. You can configure the time intervals depending on how quickly you check for new messages.
