ConvertKit is a platform that allows users to create, send and track email marketing campaigns. It also integrates with other apps such as Shopify, Facebook, Twitter, and more. It was founded in 2013 by Nathan Barry.
uProc is an email automation app that allows users to create automated workflows and triggers. It provides templates for SAP, Salesforce, Marketo, and also has integrations with Shopify, MailChimp and more.
To get started, you need to first register for free at either ConvertKit or uProc. After registering, you can go to the settings tab. There will be an option to connect both apps. Click on the button and complete the process. You will have to verify your email address at both apps and then wait for the confirmation email from each company.
After setting up both apps, you can start to create your first workflow. You will need to set up a campaign on your web browser. Make sure you are signed into uProc first. Create a new campaign by clicking on the plus icon in the upper left hand corner. Fill out all required information and click save. In this example, I’m creating a campaign called “Signup” which sends my user a welcome email when they sign up for my newsletter.
You can use ConvertKit templates for your uProc campaigns. First, create a template in ConvertKit. I created a simple template in ConvertKit to welcome my user after signing up to my newsletter. Click on the “create template” button at the top right hand corner of your dashboard and fill out all required information. Once done, click “create template” at the bottom of the page . Now go back to the uProc campaign and click on “add template”. Scrpl down until you find the dropdown menu that says “use custom template”. Select convertkit and select your template from your drop down menu. Now your template will be added to your campaign settings.
Now that you have setup your campaign, you can start to add triggers to it. Go back to the uProc campaign and click on “add trigger” at the bottom of the page. Select any email that you want in this case I selected my welcome email and hit next . On the next screen you will see all possible events that you can trigger off of such as. view content, open email, click links etc.. Select one that fits your needs. For this example I selected open email . Now when someone opens my welcome email they will get added to my workflow automatically. Continue adding triggers to your workflow until you are satisfied with it and click save changes. Now that you have created a trigger, click on create action on your workflow screen. This is where we will add our workflow step such as sending our user an email or sending a PDF file etc.. Click new step and keep adding new steps until you are satisfied with your flow and then hit save changes . Congratulations! You have now successfully integrated uProc with ConvertKit and created a campaign that will automate your customer journey!
