Clubhouse can be integrated with Firebase Realtime Database using the Cloud Storage for Firebase SDK. Clubhouse uses Firebase to store user data such as songs, playlists, interactions, and favorites. All the data stored by Clubhouse is secured and encrypted and it can only be accessed by the application itself. The integration of Clubhouse and Firebase Realtime Database makes it easier for developers to create a serverless application. They do not have to worry about creating servers and maintaining them because Firebase takes care of it. To integrate the two platforms, make sure that you have the latest version of both Clubhouse and Firebase installed on your phone. Then simply fplow these steps:
Step 1. Go to the Settings page on your phone and scrpl down until you see “Add Firebase to your Android Project” button.
Step 2. Click on that button and enter your project details. If you already have a project created, then enter your project ID instead of creating a new one.
Step 3. Once you are done entering your details, click on “Continue”.
Step 4. Enter your email address in the box that appears after you click on “Continue” and then click on “Verify Email”.
Step 5. After you have verified your email address, you will be able to see “Cloud Messaging” in the project overview tab and it will be connected to your project. That means your project is all set for integrating it with Firebase Realtime Database.
Step 6. Click on “Overview”. This will take you to the Firebase conspe where you can see an overview of your project.
Step 7. Under Cloud Messaging option, click on “Enable Cloud Messaging” button. This will enable cloud messaging services on your project.
Step 8. Create an Android Service Account key by going to “Authentication” tab in the Firebase conspe. Then go back to Overview tab and copy the Service Account Key into “Service Account Key” field in the Android app configuration screen in Clubhouse Settings page. Make sure you keep this key secret because if someone else learns it, they can access all your data stored in Firebase Realtime Database.
Once done with all these steps, your app is ready to use Firebase Realtime Database. You can now build apps that let users create posts, write comments, upload images, and share content across multiple devices without any hassle. Any changes made by users in their device will be reflected in their other devices in real time as well. You can also integrate other Firebase features such as Analytics, Authentication and others with Clubhouse app to enhance its functionality further.
