Integration of CloudTalk and Webhooks By Connect

CloudTalk is a cloud-based service that enables organizations to communicate with their customers through text, voice, and video messaging. This communication can be done using various ways such as email, SMS, social media, and phone.

While Webhooks By Connect is an application that connects the user’s cloud server or website to third party applications like Slack, Facebook Messenger, Twilio, Skype, and more. It helps you make your web forms complete by sending the information entered in the form or generated during the form completion process directly to the third party services.

The integration of CloudTalk and Webhooks By Connect gives the user the ability to send messages via Webhooks By Connect using CloudTalk. The user can select the recipients of the message using CloudTalk while using Webhooks for creating the connection between your website or web application and CloudTalk.

  • Integration of CloudTalk and Webhooks By Connect
  • There are two ways to do this integration. The first one is by using our API and the second one is by using our widget.

If you want to use our API to do this integration, you have to use your CloudTalk username along with your API key in order to send messages. You can create an API key in our website if you don’t have an account yet or if you already have an account then you can get your API key from your account settings.

You have to also choose the recipient of your message in CloudTalk when you are sending it via Webhooks By Connect because Webhooks By Connect will only send the message to CloudTalk users who are present in the selected recipient list. The recipient list will be used for all requests made through Webhooks By Connect to CloudTalk. So if you want to send a different message to different users then you have to create a new recipient list for each of them.

You can integrate CloudTalk with Webhooks by fplowing these instructions:

    • Go to https://app.cloudtalk.co.uk/application/oauth2/token
    • Click “Get token”
    • Select your application
    • Enter your CloudTalk Username and API Key in the appropriate fields and click “Create Token”
    • Copy the generated client_id and client_secret and paste it into Webhooks By Connect under “OAuth Client ID” and “OAuth Client Secret” respectively. Then go back to Webhooks By Connect and click “Save Changes” on the top right corner of the page.
    • Go to https://app.cloudtalk.co.uk/application/oauth2/authorize and enter your CloudTalk username and password in the appropriate fields and click “Authorize”. If you get an email from CloudTalk asking you to confirm your identity, fplow the link provided in the email and click “Accept Request” and then return to Webhooks By Connect and click “Save Changes” on the top right corner of the page again.

Then click “Continue” on the next pop-up window. Here is a screenshot of what you should see:

Then enter a name for this listener in the field provided on the next pop-up window and then click “Connect With Provider” on that same pop-up window on top right corner of the page. You can also choose whether or not you would like to receive errors too when they occur on your site or web application by selecting them from this list along with other events that you may need for whatever purpose you might have created this integration for in the first place. Once you have chosen all events that you want to be sent via webhooks when they occur on your site or web application, click “Save Listener Settings” button at bottom center of the screen which will save all these settings permanently within your listener so that no further action has to be taken whenever there are changes made to these settings or any particular event(s. that are being sent via webhooks when they occur on your website or web application is added or removed from this list later on.
