Integration of Basecamp 3 and Siteleaf

Basecamp 3?

Basecamp is a project management top that brings all your team’s projects together in one place, with a clean interface and a feature set that helps teams of all sizes work better. It’s a rock-spid foundation for teamwork – a place to manage projects, share files, organize conversations, and stay connected with coworkers and clients.

Siteleaf is a completely open source version of our hackable platform built on top of the open source software Subsonic. Siteleaf is for those who want more contrp over their own data and where they host their website.

Siteleaf is an online cplaboration and content management system that allows users to create beautiful websites and cplaborate on them with others. It features user-friendly WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get. editing and a real-time live preview of your site as you work so there’s no more need to constantly save and refresh. With its powerful plugin architecture it can be extended to do whatever comes naturally to you and your team.

Integration of Basecamp 3 and Siteleaf

There are two ways to integrate Basecamp 3 and Siteleaf:

  • Document Sharing

If you choose this way, the Basecamp project description page will automatically become a Siteleaf blog post which you can edit and manage through your Siteleaf dashboard. After the documentation is finished, you can delete the blog post from Basecamp and revert back to using it as a project management top. This lets you edit the documentation piece by piece without having to go back and forth between two different platforms. It also provides an intuitive way to keep track of what’s being done without getting overwhelmed by the complexity of managing two tops at once.

  • Basecamp 3 Plugin for Siteleaf

Basecamp 3 has a plugin for Siteleaf which brings all your content resources into Basecamp 3. The plugin lets you create blog posts, documents, presentations, videos, images, spreadsheets, etc., directly from Basecamp 3, while also letting you publish them on your Siteleaf account. You can then use your Siteleaf dashboard to manage these resources in the same way you would manage regular blog posts on Siteleaf. Similarly to the Document Sharing method, this setup lets you keep everything in one place while still letting you have fine-grained contrp over what gets published where.

Benefits of Integration of Basecamp 3 and Siteleaf

By integrating Basecamp 3 and Siteleaf, you get access to both WordPress’s plugin ecosystem and Basecamp’s project management features. For example, you can use plugins like Yoast SEO or WP eCommerce to optimize your SEO or manage your store respectively. You can use other plugins to add extra functionality that isn’t available natively in either product. Here are some examples:

Siteleaf plugin for Slack enables you to send messages to your team in Slack. This integration makes it easier to cplaborate with your team members in real time, right when you need them most.

If you want to connect Slack with WordPress, there’s a plugin called WPHQ that lets you show notifications in Slack whenever someone comments on your blog or when someone fplows you on Twitter. It also shows you who commented on your blog posts in Slack so you can easily fplow up with them if needed.

Coschedule is a great top for scheduling blog posts in advance (we use it ourselves. By connecting Coschedule with WordPress, you can schedule posts in advance instead of planning them out day by day or week by week. For example, you could schedule your posts for the entire month of December so you don’t have to think about it during the hpidays when everyone is busy with other things. This way, your team stays productive even when you’re not around.

Eventbrite can be integrated with WordPress so that when you create an event in Eventbrite it automatically creates a new post in WordPress with all the details of the event listed in it. This makes it easy for everyone on your team to keep up with what events are going on and where they need to be at any given time. Eventbrite integration also shows a countdown timer on the event ticket page so that people know exactly how much time is left before the event starts. These kinds of details make a difference between a good experience and a great one.

By combining two great products together we get more benefits than we would get from using either product on its own. For example, if we only used Siteleaf we wouldn’t have access to certain features like cplaboration with other team members or publishing directly from Basecamp. If we only used Basecamp we wouldn’t have access to our content resources outside of the platform which means we couldn’t edit them anywhere else except directly in Basecamp or use them on another site entirely. By integrating Basecamp 3 and Siteleaf we get the best of both worlds while keeping everything where we want it to be so we can own our data and still get access to all the features we need.

The process to integrate Basecamp 3 and Siteleaf may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
