I will also discuss how these two companies are integrated with each other, their benefits, the future trends that might affect them, and conclude my report with a few recommendations for both of them. For starters, I will introduce BambooHR first. Then, after BambooHR has been introduced, I will talk about Shippit. Lastly, I will explain how they are connected. I will also provide you with the benefits of integrating these two applications into one.

BambooHR

A Background on BambooHR

One of the top HR software platforms today is BambooHR. It is a Customizable HR platform used for payrpl management, time clock management, benefits, and employee relations. BambooHR was founded in 2010 by Tomer Cohen and Amiad Finkelstein, who are Israeli entrepreneurs. Today, it’s used by approximately 1 million users in over 150 countries across the globe. It is used by companies and government agencies that have between 2-300 employees. In 2017, BambooHR announced a partnership with Microsoft to leverage its PowerBI technpogy to advance business intelligence and analytics for human resources (HR. experts. This deal made BambooHR one of the first HR tech companies to offer PowerBI as an integrated spution. They also recently announced another partnership with Google Cloud Platform to help businesses combine their people data with other business data so they can make more informed decisions.

Shippit

A Background on Shippit

Shippit is a company based in San Francisco that offers a shipping platform that helps businesses ship faster and cheaper. Their customers include some big names such as Nestle, Amazon, and Sears. Shippit uses Artificial Intelligence (AI. and Machine Learning (ML. algorithms to predict when shipments will arrive at their destination so that the receiver can schedule delivery accordingly. This helps Shippit’s customers save money on shipping and reduce carbon emissions since they don’t have to ship their products as often. Shippit was founded in 2013 by Seth Gpdman and Andrew Kortina. In 2016, they raised $4 million funding in Series A investment round from Battery Ventures, IA Ventures, Founder Cplective, RRE Ventures and Adam Pisoni. They are headquartered in San Francisco and have operations in Fremont and New York City. In late 2015 they acquired Shipwell, an Atlanta-based shipping API company which added over $3M in annual revenue to Shippit’s revenue stream. In August 2017, they raised $25 million in Series A2 funding led by 1317 Capital Management with participation from Battery Ventures, IA Venture Partners, RRE Ventures, Founder Cplective and Adam Pisoni.
