In the present day, there are a lot of business software available for companies and firms. To integrate the two systems BambooHR and JIRA Software Server, you need to install an extension on both the systems. The extension is named as "Jira Service Desk Connector (JSD)" which can be installed on your Jira Software Server. You need to click on the "Install" link after visiting the JSD setup page. It will take you to the Jira Software Server's Marketplace. There you need to provide your username and password to install this extension. After installing this extension you need to fill out a few details about your Jira Software Server and then click on "Save". Once you have saved it, you need to open the "Configuration" link and fill out the fields as per your requirement. You can select from a list of pre-defined integrations or create a custom integration. You can also enable or disable the integrations as per your needs. After you have enabled the integration, you need to provide details about how many projects are going to be part of this integration process and what type of data are going to be shared between these two systems such as Time Tracking, Absences, Help Desk, Projects etc. Next you have to provide details about "Create" and "Update" operations. If your project has been created from BambooHR then it will automatically import the project details into Jira Software Server. It will also update the status, description, assignee's roles etc., but if you want to update the issues manually from BambooHR then you need to select the checkboxes accordingly. Also, if you have created a project from outside BambooHR then you don't have to select those checkboxes. Next you need to select categories from where they should be imported and then click on "Save". After saving it a confirmation page will pop up from where you can see that data is being imported into the Jira Software Server from BambooHR. Finally, you have to add users who are going to get access to the integration data so that they can edit them and create new issues from them.
