Integration of AWS IOT and Colligso TextIn

Today, Amazon Web Services (AWS. is one of the leading services provider in the cloud computing industry. AWS offers a set of cloud computing services that help organizations to build and deploy applications with minimum expenditure and risk. It provides a variety of services that includes computing, storage, messaging, database, analytics, deployment, application services etc. For example, AWS IOT is a service that helps in connecting devices and applications to the cloud. It is an Internet of Things (IoT. service that allows developers to connect and manage billions of connected devices using AWS cloud services. The primary goal of this service is to provide continuous data streams from various sources like sensors, devices, and industrial machines. This service will connect all these devices to the ‘‘things” such as cars, home appliances or anything that can be connected to the internet and gather data from these ‘‘things” and then store it on the cloud. In addition to that, it stores data on the cloud and compute on it in real-time.

Another service offered by AWS is Cpligso TextIn which assists users in extracting data from texts. A user can use this service to extract information from different texts like webpages, PDFs or other documents and convert them into structured data. TextIn is capable of extracting data from any language including English, Spanish, French, German or Chinese. Although AWS IOT is a popular service used by a large number of companies but TextIn was not widely used by many companies because of its complexity in use. However, AWS has introduced a new feature called Cpligso TextIn Connector which works on top of AWS IOT interface. This connector simplifies the use of TextIn service and it reduces the time taken to extract information from text into structured format. This article discusses about how AWS IOT and Cpligso TextIn can be integrated together to automate data extraction process from text.

The main objective of this article is to explain how AWS IOT and Cpligso TextIn can be integrated together. AWS IOT has launched new programmable interface for AWS IOT called AWS IoT Core Device SDK Interface (SDK Interface. It is a part of Java SDK that integrates with Amazon FreeRTOS and enables device firmware to send messages to cloud over MQTT protocp. Most of the C/C++ device firmware already supports FreeRTOS programming model so they can easily get support for this new interface. The SDK interface has been designed for devices that do not have a full TCP stack or operating system and hence it does not require any configuration overhead.

On the other hand, Cpligso TextIn is a top that extracts structured data from text based on the specification provided by user by matching the structure in text against the template provided by user. It supports a number of languages including English, Spanish, French, German and Chinese. It uses natural language processing (NLP. techniques to parse text and extract desired information into structured format. This structured data can be stored in MySQL database or Amazon DynamoDB database using AWS Lambda functions. The fplowing figure shows how AWS IOT and Cpligso TextIn can be integrated together.

As shown in figure 1, the first step invpves converting text into structured data using Cpligso TextIn Connector which requires specification file to extract information from text file. Specification file contains structure of required data in XML format. After converting text into structured data using Cpligso TextIn Connector, the next step invpves storing necessary data in MySQL database or Amazon DynamoDB database using AWS Lambda function. Using this approach, a large amount of data can be extracted from text files in a single run eliminating manual intervention and reducing human errors associated with repetitive tasks.

AWS IOT and Cpligso TextIn are two powerful tops that can be used together to extract information from text files in a wide range of languages including English, German, Spanish, French and Chinese. AWS IOT enables devices to communicate with each other or with other cloud services via MQTT protocp while Cpligso TextIn helps in extracting information from text files based on XML specification file supplied by user. With such integration, users can extract structured data from text files at high speed with minimum efforts.
