Integration of AWS IOT and Office 365

Amazon Web Services are a cplection of cloud-based services that IT professionals use to build, deploy, and manage applications across a range of industries. AWS is one of the most popular cloud platform used by enterprises across the globe. Amazon also provides cloud services for businesses that want to integrate their internet of things (IoT. sputions with office 365.

Integration of AWS IOT and Office 365

Amazon provides a range of IoT services that help clients to connect, monitor, and analyze data from their Internet of things. AWS IoT is a managed cloud service that enables device connectivity, device management, security, and data analytics. These IoT devices can be deployed in the AWS cloud or on-premises using a hybrid architecture. Amazon offers an open source Software Development Kit (SDK. for developers to develop applications for IoT services.

IoT devices can be organized into logical groups called "things." A thing registry is the central store that maintains information about the registered things split into two categories. private and public. Private registries are used to keep track of your own things on your own premises while public registry is used to ensure that the things you want to interact with are open and available. For this reason, it is important to register your things in the public registry. The other category contains information about the organization itself.

To access AWS IoT services, you need to first create an AWS account, download the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI), and configure credentials for each region where you plan to use AWS IoT. Once these steps are completed, you will have an IoT endpoint which is a unique identifier for your device. In addition to endpoints, there are access keys used for authentication purposes between devices and AWS. Access keys are used as temporary security credentials when you make requests to AWS IoT service endpoints. You can create up to 25 access keys per endpoint.

Once you have configured all APIs and SDKs, you can start developing applications that integrate AWS IoT service with office 365. The integration process starts with creating an office 365 application and then registering the device with office 365 application. Once registered, you can send telemetry data from your devices to the office 365 application and also trigger alarms based on triggers such as low battery, temperature rise, etc.
