This data can then be used in business models, decision-making processes, and predictive algorithms in order to get a broader understanding of the business environment.The AWS IOT platform has three parts. Thing Shadows, Thing Registry, and Thing Shadows. The first part, Thing Shadows, is a data model that stores data from connected devices. The second part, Thing Registry, is a directory of all connected devices and sensors on AWS IoT. It provides information about the status of individual devices and how they are connected with other devices through rules and permissions. The third part of the platform, Thing Shadows, creates a mapping between real world objects and the data from those objects. The mapping is called a shadow because it fplows the state of the object it represents, even when the object moves or changes over time.

Google Forms is a free application that anyone can use to create surveys and quizzes. It also has a unique feature that allows it to integrate with other Google products including Google Sheets and Google Docs. Echo would then respond by reading the requested information aloud through its built-in speaker or by sending it to the user's smartphone via an audio-only app such as Alexa or Amazon Music Player. Echo can connect with AWS IoT via Rules Engine running on AWS Lambda servers through the fplowing process. First, an event occurs that triggers Actions on Echos such as hearing a keyword (e.g., "what's the weather like". Second, Actions on Echos send messages containing specific commands over HTTP requests to AWS Lambda servers (e.g., requesting the current temperature. Finally, AWS Lambda servers send back responses containing JSON objects containing the requested information (e.g., current temperature. These responses are sent back to Actions on Echos via HTTPS requests which instruct Echos on what to do next (e.g., read out or display information. All of these events take place in less than 100 milliseconds showing that IoT connected devices can be integrated seamlessly with cloud infrastructure without requiring a lot of setup work from developers or businesses.
